JOB DUTIES:
Fabricator roles consist of multiple functions/disciplines necessary to fabricate lightweight and heavy duty industrial and agricultural belts and hoses, including but not limited to:
* Baler production
* Belt sample cutting
* Cleating fabrication
* Custom fabrication
* Cut rubber parts fabrication
* Extruder operations
* Forklift operations
* Lacing fabrication
* Material handling

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
* High school diploma/equivalent

* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in main units of measure, using whole numbers, common fraction, and decimals
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
* Ability to set up and operate mechanical equipment as well as use power tools and hand tools safely

* Sufficient knowledge or experience to perform industrial math and measuring
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Job entails long periods of standing in the operations area, which is often cold in the winter and hot in the summer months. Job requires safety footwear and protective eyewear.

The Fabricator/Assembler - Lev II performs diverse fabrication and assembly tasks to deliver high-quality products while adhering to all safety, quality, and environmental standards. This role is on 3rd shift, with hours from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., and is located on-site at our manufacturing facility in Greeneville, TN.
Roles Responsibilities:
Follow all safety, DOT, HAZMAT, and environmental policies, including proper use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Fabricate and assemble components according to blueprints, route sheets, and quality standards, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Operate and maintain assigned equipment, applying mechanical skills and hand tools as needed.
Understand equipment functions to ensure safe and effective operations.
Collaborate with assembly line team members, material handlers, and leadership to maintain production flow and meet targets.
Complete all required documentation (labor cards, production reports, JIT sheets, CI cards) accurately and on schedule.
Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot assigned equipment to minimize downtime.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with 6S principles and actively support continuous improvement (CI) initiatives.
Support cross-departmental tasks and perform other duties as assigned.
Work scheduled overtime as necessary to meet production demands.
Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, measuring devices, standard work documents, and routings.
Knowledge of and adherence to safety policies, procedures, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
Understanding of 6S principles and ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Regular and punctual daily attendance.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools and basic equipment.
Preferred Qualifications:
One year of manufacturing or assembly experience.
Experience working in a continuous improvement (CI) environment.
Familiarity with documentation requirements such as labor cards, production reports, JIT sheets, or CI cards.
Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

* Safely and efficiently use various power tools such as a drill, impact gun, grinder and rivet gun
* Assemble wall and roof panels by operating hydraulic clinchers
* Cut insulation using engineering jigs
* Weld Z-bars to roof panels with a wire feed welding machine
* Operate overhead cranes to transport finished goods from tables into the assembly carts
* Partner with the Lead Hand to meet standard operation procedures in order to accomplish quality standards including accurately maintaining inventory controls

Summary of Job Description
The positions within a Sheet Metal Fabricator (Machine Operator I) are responsible for checking job sheets and setting up machines for operation. The employee may operate different machines to complete the assigned tasks. They must be able to read blue prints and troubleshoot basic equipment and machines. They must maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Essential Functions
Communicate verbally with co-workers to keep a safe working environment
Operate a variety of different sheet metal fabrication machines and equipment to include but not limited to: press brakes, lasers, water jets, turrets, rollers, panel benders
Set up and prepare parts for cutting and forming operations
Operate a computer for machine set up
Load/unload materials into machines and equipment
Read and apply measurements to parts and equipment
Read and understand blue prints, schematic diagrams, etc.
Read and interrupt job routings and paperwork
Lift light and/or heavy parts on and off a cart, floor, shelf, etc.
Use of a cart to push/pull equipment and parts to and from designated areas

Qualifications:
* Ability to design, fabricate and build basic and/or complex structures, supports or framework.
* Ability to Weld using ARC, MIG, TIG processes.

* Ability to weld both thick and thin materials (e.g. .020" - 2" Stainless Steel, .030" - 6" aluminum).
* Bending, cutting and welding of tubes and other materials such as thin sheet metal.
* Ability to use manual mill and lathe to produce required components or parts for fabrication projects.
* Utilize various shop equipment and tools such as drill press, brake, shear, bandsaw, notcher, grinder, belt sander, punch and various power tools.
* Operation and proper use of calipers, micrometers, weld gauges, tape measures, scales and other hand tools.
