    This position will be responsible for, among other things, stages, shrink wraps and loads products by trip number and store number as it is received from the packing and pulling areas of the stockroom. Prepares palletized loads for shipment by shrink-wrapping product to ensure safe transportation or storage, including safe and proper balancing and placement of products. Additionally, this position assists with safe and proper pallet building and selects products for specific routes. Responsibilities: Stages product on pallets, shrink wraps to prevent loss, and loads pallets on trucks Inspects trailers for suitability before loading Ensures correct parts are placed on the correct truck packs the right parts for delivery to the right customers with accuracy and speed, maps out the organization of loading customer orders from skids to trucks Operates pallet jack or forklift as needed Maintains the integrity of products through proper handling and storage Keeps work area clean to avoid potential accidents and to allow for rapid loading Pulls stock orders until time to load trucks as needed Assists with processing other DC shuttles Works in a safe manner following all safety procedures, rules and regulations Performs all other duties as assigned by management Experience, Education, and Abilities: High School Diploma or 6 months of equivalent work experience required Forklift certified preferred Regular, reliable, predictable attendance Able to speak clearly and listen attentively Capable of recognizing and distinguishing letters and numbers (both visually and aurally) and remembering their sequence Should have basic computer APGJCe skills Capable of lifting and moving merchandise of up to 60 lbs. Able to push/pull up to 300 lbs. using mechanical aids, such as hand trucks, barrel dollies, hydraulic lifts, etc. Able to bend or stoop to floor-level shelves and be able to reach shelves (eight feet) with use of stool or ladder when necessary Must be able to get in and out of the back of truck with parts while using a ramp when necessary Able to stand and walk for entire work shift Work Environment: While performing the duties of this position, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, hazardous materials, outside weather conditions of extreme heat and cold. The Outbound Operations Supervisor ultimately holds their team to a high standard of operational execution, while also reinforcing a culture of engagement, empowerment and problem-solving amongst all teammates. Responsibilities Responsible for supervising and implementing functions of efficient outbound operations by instructing employees how to perform work, monitoring progress and troubleshooting as needed. Responsible for designing and maintaining organization of truck yard operations, ensuring efficient organization of trailers, housekeeping, maintenance, and safety protocols are maintained. Responsible for consistent and innovative solutions to drive adherence to all security and safety rules and regulations, ensuring a safe environment for employees, including but not limited to picking, sorting and truck load procedures. Proactively maintains awareness of budget planning and enforces cost-saving initiatives and process improvements. Supervises and provides leadership to warehouse associates, promoting engagement and empowerment to solve problems and make good operational decisions. Works with other DC management to investigate and resolve shipping errors; addresses shipping errors with team to mitigate future issues. Schedules team hours to ensure peak period coverage and efficiency. Protects company assets ensuring all equipment is used and maintained properly, buildings are checked and secured nightly, monitoring employees so no merchandise leaves without proper receipts. Responsible for leading efficient and accurate methods of processing outbound orders, cross/docks, stock orders, special orders, UPS, Will Call and any other miscellaneous orders as applicable. Identifies opportunities for cost reduction and implements process improvements to enhance operational efficiency. Fosters a culture of engagement and empowerment, mentors team members, and facilitates problem-solving and decision-making to drive operational success. Oversees the reconciliation of truck loads each night to ensure proper loading of product. Responsible for designing and implementing efficient protocols and systems for shuttle truck orders and loading of trucks. Ensures team follows all company and supplier guidelines for factory returns. Qualifications High School Diploma, general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of experience and education. 1+ years experience within a distribution center or similar environment. Ability to comply with all safety requirements pertaining to job functions and general Distribution Center safety requirements. Strong interpersonal skills. Position Performance Measures: Process designated orders by scheduled departure times. Reconciled orders received for UPS shipment must be processed and shipped by the DC designated times. Responsibilities: Records and ships products and loads onto trucks by store location for all outgoing overnight shipments. Consolidates orders from zone to designated store utilizing the tote and pullwall processes. Reconciles and prepares all overnight UPS shipments to respective locations. Prepares and loads all daily/nightly shipments as required for each. Ensures timely processing of all orders and handling of shipments. Maintains a clean and organized work station/environment per company standards. Ensures compliance to all company policies and procedures. Experience, Education, Abilities and Working Conditions: High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required. 6 months prior work experience preferred but not required. Must be forklift certified. Working conditions are subject but not limited to the following: loud or noisy, concrete or grated flooring, varying climate conditions per location, areas exposed to outside elements located near or around the loading/receiving dock. Capable of lifting and moving merchandise of up to 60 lbs. Able to push/pull up to 300 lbs. using mechanical aids, such as hand trucks, barrel dollies, hydraulic lifts, etc. Able to bend or stoop to floor-level shelves and be able to reach shelves (eight feet) with use of stool or ladder when necessary.
