Key Responsibilities:
* Fit, tack, and weld steel parts to create finished sub-assemblies, following blueprints using FCAW & GMAW.
* Perform welding on steel ranging from thin gauge material to 1" plate.

Job Description
We are seeking skilled and reliable Field Welders with current 3G/4G certifications and hands-on experience working with miscellaneous metals such as stairs, handrails and light structural components. The ideal candidate will be proficient in stick welding (SMAW), grinding, and interpreting blueprints and work instructions to complete installations with precision and professionalism.
Responsibilities:
Perform stick welding (SMAW) and other welding techniques on steel, aluminum and stainless steel materials.
Grind railings, stairs and structural components according to specifications.
Operate grinders, band saws and other standard ironworker tools.
Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with OSHA, Mid-State, and General Contractor regulations.
Travel to job sites and adapt to various work schedules as needed.
Lift and carry up to 75 pounds safely.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on time.
Qualifications
Certified in 3G/4G welding is preferred (company will certify also).
Proven experience in stick welding (SMAW), particularly with stairs, railings and light structures.
Proficient in using grinders, band saws, and standard fabrication tools.
Experience with aluminum and stainless welding preferred.
Ability to read and follow blueprints.
Familiarity with construction job sites and safety protocols.
Must be dependable, team-oriented, and flexible with work hours and travel requirements.

Assemble items as instructed by work instructions
Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with 6S procedures, rules, and regulations and take proper care of all equipment and facilities
Examine work for defects
Identify and handle nonconforming parts
Ensure welder is in proper working condition (check temperature)
Read welding work schedule
Ability to stop the production line and/or prevent shipment of products due to nonconformance or potential nonconformance products to our customers
Support the environmental policy with proactive process implementation, improvement suggestions, reducing waste, and acting on environment performance results and findings.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements
Ability to provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task
Effectively work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
Ability to use measuring equipment (calipers, tape measures, and angle gauges)
Ability to operate small grinding equipment (right angle grinder, pencil grinder, belt sander, etc.)
Ability to know a good weld versus a bad weld in terms of Dee Zee standards
Ability to read and understand written work instructions
General knowledge of how to use welding equipment
Know how to set up machines for personal preferences
Ability to use hand tools (clamps, grinders, etc.)

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
