The Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing patients' health conditions, administering medications, providing wound care, and delivering other necessary medical services to ensure the well-being of shelter residents. Duties/Responsibilities: Conduct patient assessments, including physical examinations and health history reviews, to determine their medical needs, with a focus on the common health issues encountered in a shelter environment. Develop and implement patient care plans based on assessment findings, in collaboration with other healthcare professionals and shelter staff. Administer medications, vaccines, and other treatments as prescribed by physicians or within established protocols, including managing medication administration for a large number of shelter residents. Provide wound care, including cleaning, dressing, and monitoring for infection, with consideration for limited resources and potential environmental challenges in a shelter. Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition, and report any changes or abnormalities to the appropriate medical personnel, including the ability to quickly identify and triage patients with urgent medical needs.
