Geocomp is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Project Manager to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to advance their career in a collaborative, innovative, and growth-oriented consulting environment.
In this role, you will lead geotechnical engineering projects from concept and design through construction and execution, providing technical guidance, client management, and business development support. You'll play a key role in delivering practical, data-driven solutions for complex infrastructure challenges.
This position can be based in either our Acton, MA headquarters, Atlanta or at our New York, NY office.
About the Team
You will work alongside a talented team of engineers, report directly to the Consulting Group Director, and have access to senior technical mentors who will support your continued professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and deliver multiple geotechnical projects from start to finish.
Lead geotechnical design tasks and perform associated calculations.
Prepare high-quality technical reports, specifications, and drawings.
Develop proposals and actively support business development initiatives.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
Provide construction oversight and perform site inspections as needed.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Geocomp offices.

Qualifications:
Required
Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience.
Proven ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
Hands-on field experience and proficiency with geotechnical design software (slope stability, finite element tools, etc.); strong numerical analysis skills preferred.
Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).

As a member of our East Geography marketing team, this role will support Arup's East Geography Transport Portfolio (including Rail, Aviation, Roads & Streets, and Maritime) with a focus on work winning including proposal delivery and interview preparation, capture planning and pre-positioning, client engagement, knowledge management, conference and event support, collateral development, and business planning. This position will work directly with Arup's East Geography Marketing Leaders and Geography Business Leaders to ensure seamless and efficient delivery of marketing and bidding activities in alignment with the goals of our business plans.
**Core Responsibilities**
+ Proactively connect and coordinate with East Geography Transportation leaders to create a cohesive and consistent approach to our marketing activities, setting short-term and long-term goals
+ Actively participate in the development and execution of go/no-go decision-making
+ Coordinate the preparation of competitive proposals, qualification packages, and interview presentations
+ Work closely with leadership to develop client-focused win strategies for proposals and statements of qualification to successfully capture work
+ Participate in pre-interview planning and presentation rehearsal, and help develop and apply established win strategy, themes, and discriminators in presentation materials
+ Participate in capture planning strategy sessions and assist in client and market focused research activities
+ Coordinate and maintain marketing assets, provide feedback, and actively engage in improving our marketing content, including project sheets, resumes, and other collateral
+ Take ownership of new marketing content such as presentations, brochures, and project examples to support the Transport Portfolio and subsequent businesses.
+ Work with our regional Transport marketing teams to bring the best of our global experience to our local clients.
+ Mentor marketing members on work winning activities specific to the Transport Portfolio
+ Maintain CRM data quality for East Transportation opportunities and relevant Sharepoint databases
+ Maintain consistent quality, corporate identity, and graphic standards
**Desired Qualifications**
+ +4 or more years of experience leading and preparing prime proposals within the A/E/C industry
+ Experience in preparing prime proposals for transport and government agency clients preferred
+ Experience and knowledge of the transportation market in the US is a plus
+ Experience creating market-facing capabilities brochures
+ Bachelor's degree, preferably with an emphasis in English, Communications, Marketing, Design, or related field
+ Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills
+ Confident, self-motivated, independent, and proactive
+ Energetic, positive demeanor, with proven track record to juggle/respond to multiple tasks

**The Opportunity**
· 7+ years of proven experience in senior marketing, and business development role in the Energy and/or Water industries within a service, B2B, B2G industry with complex procurement, long sales cycles.
· Experience and knowledge of the Energy and/or Water markets in the US, particularly in the eastern US states, including direct engagement with clients in these sectors.
· Involvement with local industry organizations.
· Experience with large-scale prime proposals.

+ Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE), Architectural Engineering (BSAE) or similar degree
+ Demonstrated interest in the electrical engineering industry
+ Skills in planning and organizing
+ Ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas in an accessible way, both in person and in writing
+ Attitude of taking independent initiative, exhibiting creative problem-solving, eagerness to learn, while remaining dedicated to teamwork
+ The ability to prioritize effectively, balance assigned work and exceptional organization skills required for our constantly evolving environment
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for team-based working
+ Presentation skills with colleagues
+ Must be eligible to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future.
**Preferred**
+ Coursework in building systems design, electrical power systems design, control systems, electric machines, and codes and standards
+ Electrical testing
+ Interest in sustainability as evidenced by extracurricular activities, etc.
+ Academic research, coursework, or other experience with alternative energy systems and other technologies new to the construction industry
+ Experience with Revit, AGI 32, SKM Power Tools, ETAP
+ Coding skills in C# and/or Python with an interest in design automation
+ Teamwork and leadership such as professional accomplishment or honor society

**New York City Hiring Range -** The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in New York City is $26.50 to $47.50 per hour. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of New York City, NY will differ.
