Job Summary
The Instrumentation Technician will initially be supporting pre-construction effort for the Second Avenue project and other infrastructure monitoring assignments. The position involves hands-on work with a range of geotechnical and structural monitoring instruments, data analysis, and field troubleshooting to ensure accurate and continuous data collection.
Key Responsibilities
Perform pre-construction and post-construction surveys, and prepare related baseline, site visit, and final reports.
Maintain detailed and accurate project records, ensuring data integrity and timely reporting.
Support pre-construction monitoring efforts for major infrastructure projects.
Assemble, program, and install instruments such as vibration monitors, automated motorized total stations, optical prisms, tilt sensors, crack gauges, and monitoring wells.
Conduct regular (weekly or as needed) site visits to perform equipment troubleshooting, calibration, and maintenance, ensuring uninterrupted data transmission to the GIS system.
Travel domestically up to 25% of the time, as project needs require.
Minimum Required Experience
BS Degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, or related discipline
Coursework or practical experience in remote sensing and geotechnical GIS software.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to data accuracy and detail.
Ability to work independently in both office and field environments.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Willingness to travel domestically up to 25% of the time.

Geocomp is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Project Manager to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to advance their career in a collaborative, innovative, and growth-oriented consulting environment.
In this role, you will lead geotechnical engineering projects from concept and design through construction and execution, providing technical guidance, client management, and business development support. About the Team
You will work alongside a talented team of engineers, report directly to the Consulting Group Director, and have access to senior technical mentors who will support your continued professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and deliver multiple geotechnical projects from start to finish.
Lead geotechnical design tasks and perform associated calculations.
Prepare high-quality technical reports, specifications, and drawings.
Develop proposals and actively support business development initiatives.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
Provide construction oversight and perform site inspections as needed.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across Geocomp offices.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development.
Participate in professional networking events and industry conferences.
Qualifications:
Required
Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of relevant geotechnical engineering experience.
Proven ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
Hands-on field experience and proficiency with geotechnical design software (slope stability, finite element tools, etc.); strong numerical analysis skills preferred.
Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).

**The Opportunity**
· 7+ years of proven experience in senior marketing, and business development role in the Energy and/or Water industries within a service, B2B, B2G industry with complex procurement, long sales cycles.
· Experience and knowledge of the Energy and/or Water markets in the US, particularly in the eastern US states, including direct engagement with clients in these sectors.
· Involvement with local industry organizations.
· Experience with large-scale prime proposals.

Required
* Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or Computer Engineering, or Architectural Engineering
* Experience with: AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, or Project)

* Keen interest in pursuing a career in the field of IT, communications, and technology infrastructure and systems design

* Previous internship with relevant experience advantageous

**The Opportunity**
+ Design of Plumbing and Fire Protection systems within the built environment, with an emphasis on sustainable design
+ Support designing plumbing systems such as domestic water, sanitary/vent, and storm systems

+ Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and consultants to develop integrated solutions for complex buildings
+ Undertaking and documenting engineering analysis work, including code research, load calculations, and equipment sizing, in a clear manner

+ Communicate technical ideas to a broad range of audiences using various formats, including presentations and workshops
