Part-time Description
The Payroll Specialist is responsible for processing biweekly multi-state payroll and assists in maintaining an integrated and centralized multi-state payroll system. They support the end-to-end payroll process and its accuracy and help resolve complex payroll issues. The Specialist provides payroll operational support and troubleshoots system issues. This role is part-time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Processes full bi-weekly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
Calculates net salaries, deductions, garnishments, withholdings, bonus payments, and vacation payouts. Verifies state and federal leave status and record payments appropriately.
Reviews exception items and retroactive changes.
Coordinates with HR department to compile payroll data such as employee changes, new hires and payroll deductions.
Imports timesheets information into payroll system and verifies system totals.
Handles general inquiries regarding payroll and deductions.
Troubleshoots system issues and third-party interfaces.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with focus in Accounting or Business required.
Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a large ERP environment.
Experience in Paylocity payroll system, within the Architecture & Engineering industry preferred.
Expertise in multi-state payroll and tax requirements.
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and technical and attention-to-detail abilities.
High degree of collaboration and interpersonal skills, as well as ability to work independently as needed.
Ability to utilize excellent collaborative, interpersonal written, and verbal communication and presentation skills when interacting with employees.
Ability to work with the highest degree of confidentiality, keep detailed records and always protect payroll operations data.

The MCF (Mission Critical Facilities) Electrical Project Designer/Engineer performs technical duties under the supervision of a Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager. Your Key Responsibilities
- Develops advanced systems designs within own discipline with limited supervision.

The Senior Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist - Pacific Region will be focused on supporting GeoEngineers' strategic expansion into the Indo-Pacific market, particularly Guam. This position is responsible for both technical execution of key activities and project-related deliverables, but also working closely with a market development specialist to identify and advance new business opportunities. Routine responsibilities may include coordination of field exploration programs, construction observation tasks, project management, client-relationship support and development, technical report writing, complex analyses, and development of conceptual models. Essential duties may vary based on project and market demands.
This position will require experience with complex technical challenges, including seismic risk, karst terrain, and deep foundation engineering, specifically relating to waterfront projects across Guam and neighboring island nations. In addition, the position will require conducting construction quality control and special inspection activities to support successful delivery of complex construction projects in the region. This position is a long-term assignment, and will entail close collaboration with our marketing development specialist to build trust and establish and/or strengthen relationships with local firms.
There are two key purposes for this position: 1) bring project management and engineering design expertise to alleviate local firms workload issues, to support business operations and 2) coordinate with our marketing development specialist to seek out and partner with local firms on new project pursuits, in coordination with out federal business development team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Leads all project management tasks such as developing budgets and scopes, client billings, field report reviews, contract reviews, and proposal development. Partners with Principals and Associates to ensure effective execution of multiple projects.
Serves as a technical resource for clients; provides guidance and expertise to solve complex challenges.
Coordinates field operations including direction of other field staff as needed. Monitors and guides field staff and subcontractors as required.
Oversees detailed explorations and construction activities.
Collects field samples as needed (soil, groundwater, surface water, concrete, etc.) in accordance with established protocols.
Produces detailed, accurate field notes and prepares field reports in a timely manner.
Maintains and operates field equipment/instrumentation in accordance with specified procedures.
Develops complete and accurate field reports, figures, tables, etc., that require minimal edits or revisions.
Prepares deliverables as required such as field reports, calculations, analyses, etc., and coordinates reviews to ensure high quality and accuracy in accordance with consulting best practices.
Leads business-development activities such as identifying potential new clients, attending conferences or professional association meetings, etc.
Leads and/or coordinates the development and implementation of field exploration programs and construction projects. Ensures that work performed is consistent with project plans and specifications and in accordance with safety guidelines.
Partners with marketing development team to develop compelling relationships for federal pursuits tied to the Indo-Pacific region.
Help identify positioning strategies for pursuits in Guam and the Pacific region.
Completes engineering analyses and calculations. Develops complex conceptual models (i.e., numerical modeling, hydraulic/hydrologic modeling, etc.)
Completes complex spatial analyses (e.g., contours, clipping, buffering).
Develops project deliverables related to GIS data such as maps, database organizations, etc.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in the appropriate/assigned field; Master's degree preferred.
10 years of related professional experience required.
Professional Engineer or Certified Engineering Geologist license is required.
Advanced-level understanding of related software within discipline such as MathCAD, MODFLOW, FLAC, Civil 3D, Slope/W, LPILE, Settle3, Plaxis, or related software.
Ability to consistently meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
Professional-level verbal and written communication skills.
Valid driver's license.
Able to visit and enter military and non-military secure federal installations upon completion of government background checks
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
Ability to perform a wide range of physical activities and do heavy work including exerting up to fifty pounds of force on occasion.
Able to perform consistent work on a PC.
Ability to travel for short-term and long-term assignments as needed. Travel will typically not exceed 40%. Remote field assignments will typically not exceed four weeks in length.

Our best estimate of the salary range for the Senior Geotechnical Engineer in Guam is $122,600 - $184,000 annually. Our best estimate of the salary range for the Senior Engineering Geologist in Guam is $113,300 - $169,900 annually. Compensation offered will be based on a variety of individual factors, including education and experience, as well as internal equity. GeoEngineers' salary ranges are reviewed and updated each year and employees are eligible for pay increases based on individual performance. There is an overlap between Building Construction and Controls and this will give the successful candidate exposure to cutting edge systems within some of the most exciting projects within our region.
**The Opportunity**
+ Support our Construction Administration and Controls teams through project work - including new / existing construction and pre-design support. Projects will typically reside in the science, healthcare, higher education, transportation and commercial sectors. A general knowledge of all project types will be a strong attribute.
+ Coordinate and implement of project specific design activities including Process and Instrumentation and Control diagram development. Support our controls team to prepare building control diagrams for operation of HVAC, Lighting and Plumbing systems.
+ Participate in meeting and work with engineering team to maintain and develop client and stake holder relationships. Maintain a focus on building and maintaining quality relationships, both with our internal team and external counterparts.
+ Support the CA process from a multi-disciplinary standpoint. Facilitate timely responses to Contractor Request for Information (RFI's), submittals and inspection reports and ensure that responses are coordinated across trade partners..
+ Participate in Construction site 'all-hands' or 'big room' meetings. Be accountable to report to the large team and convey information on the team's behalf, when necessary.
+ Provide measurement and verification services within existing building projects and support our commissioning team as necessary.
+ Support advance controls for High-performance and LEED Certified green buildings.
+ Capture lessons learned on projects and support in-house design reviews based on findings. Make recommendations for design improvements. Engage with our BIM process and pro-actively identify opportunities for coordination and constructability in order to support a high quality output.
+ Present lessons learned to the broader team 'non-field based' engineering team..
+ Support the development regional standards for construction administration best practices, such as: digital platforms, test sheets and forms, specifications and site practices, and field reports.
+ Know the latest in relevant industry developments and technology advancements
**Is this role right for you?**
+ Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or similar is preferred
+ Experience or understanding of commissioning / retro- commissioning projects
+ Experience developing and delivering a business strategy and work winning efforts
+ Engineer in Training (EIT), Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or equivalent qualifications.
+ LEED AP (desired)
+ Project sector experience in higher education, science, industry, healthcare, government, or transportation.
+ Participation in American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning engineers (ASHRAE) or equivalent organizations.

What You'll Do
As a senior member of our water resources team, you will have the opportunity to:
Lead and manage water resource projects from concept to completion
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, building long-term relationships
Identify new clients and lead business development for water resources opportunities
Mentor junior staff and contribute to team development
Analyze and interpret hydrologic, hydrogeologic, and water quality data
Assist with the design of supply wells, aquifer storage and recovery, and ground source heat pump injection well systems
Provide senior level technical review on a wide range of water supply development, water rights permitting, and hydrogeologic evaluation deliverables
Prepare and provide senior review of technical reports and regulatory documentation
Lead water rights assessments, transfers, and applications in WA and OR
What We're Looking For
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in hydrogeology, geology, engineering, or a related field
10+ years of relevant experience in water supply, hydrogeology, water rights, and project management in WA or OR
Expertise in the regional geology, hydrogeology, and local regulations, including familiarity with Washington and Oregon water rights and/or hydrogeologic settings
Strong project management, writing, marketing, and communication skills
Strong understanding of the water resources business market and clients in WA and OR
Ability to conduct occasional site visits
Experience mentoring and training staff
Valid Driver's License
Preferred:
Professional licensure (e.g., LHG, LG/RG, PE)
Experience with groundwater modeling
