Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Thorough understanding of codes, legal, design, and inspection requirements in relevant jurisdictions
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation, Microsoft Office and AssetWise (or equivalent)
- Knowledge of relevant design software (BrR, MDX, LEAP, CSI Bridge, etc.)
- Ability to travel in/out of office periodically (15-30%)
- Ability to climb ladders, walk on uneven slopes, and work at heights
- Ability to operate mechanical access equipment (snooper, manlift, platform truck, etc.)
- Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering, Master's degree a plus.

- Completed 2-week NHI Course No. 130055, or the 5-day NHI Course No. 130056

Our Baton Rouge office has an entry level job opportunity with benefits for a Logger/Field Technician. A logger/field technician will document and oversee geotechnical drilling projects, including classification of samples, preparing samples for transport, and keeping a written log of the borings. On occasion, the logger will assist the driller in solid stem and hollow stem auger drilling and Shelby tube sampling techniques. Site investigation/geotechnical drilling is done to determine the soil characteristics on construction sites. Work is outdoors in all weather conditions and out of town work and working within industrial sites is required regularly. The work is generally physically demanding.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
* Assist drillers with locating job site and areas for drilling and determining accessibility (job setup).
* Identify boring locations using plans and GPS.
* Prepare soil samples obtained by the drillers.
* Package and label samples and transport samples to laboratory.
* Keep a written log of all soil borings.
* Load and unload equipment and supplies.
* Communicate with client and company representatives.
* Ability to lift drill steel and materials weighing up to 80 lbs.

AECOM is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our Water business line, specializing in heavy mechanical engineering. In this role, you will design, develop, and oversee the fabrication of large-scale mechanical systems that are critical to water infrastructure.
You will work on a variety of complex projects involving waterworks gates such as vertical lift gates, radial gates, sluice gates, Tainter gates, and sector gates. Additionally, you will be required to size and select winches, wire rope and chain hoisting systems, hydraulic, pneumatic and electric actuators, gear systems, and other precision mechanisms associated with these gates, delivering solutions that meet the highest standards of performance and reliability. - Develop and maintain positive client relationships, including seeking opportunities for new business and supporting proposal development.
- Create technical documents and provide review of technical documents that support regulatory submissions.
- Support and ensure implementation of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Policies, Procedures, Standards and Guidelines in the execution of all work and coordinate with HSE professionals during the execution of all phases of project planning and implementation.
- Communicate and collaborate with other Environmental and Regulatory Specialists to ensure consistency in project execution.
- This position works as part of a larger midstream & energy permitting team and there will be opportunities to support multiple Stantec projects and offices nationwide.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
- Demonstrated experience managing pipeline projects. Experience permitting large natural gas or liquids pipelines is critical.
- Demonstrated experience with FERC and NEPA requirements and processes, mitigation measures, and related implementation.
- Demonstrated experience managing FERC-regulated projects, including 7(b)/ 7(c) applications and prior notice/blanket authorization projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing resource report development for FERC-regulated projects
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and to prioritize and balance sometimes heavy workloads to achieve goals while keeping up with a highly mobile and changing environment.
- Must have strong oral and written communication skills, and be customer focused to understand and appropriately respond to client's business needs.
- Demonstrated ability to foster and grow strong client relationships
- Working understanding of policies and procedures for HSSE, including client-specific training (as required).
- Project and task management experience with strong attention to detail.
- Builds and maintains productive professional and personal networking relationships within their technical team and Business Center.
- Good driving record and valid driver's license required.
- Where lawful and at Stantec's discretion, your passing post-employment drug and alcohol testing based on client needs.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's or higher (preferred) in Environmental Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 or more years work experience in a similar position.
- Minimum of 5 years direct experience preparing, managing and authoring FERC permit applications where required by federal, state or local environmental regulatory agencies.
- Direct experience preparing and managing permit applications and agency coordination related to Threatened and Endangered Species, Sections 404/10, Coastal Zone Management Act, and/or Section 106 Cultural Resources.
Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

**Pay Transparency:** In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
