    Job Title: Senior Exploration Geologist Reports To: Exploration Manager Hecla's NW U.S. Exploration is seeking a Senior Exploration Geologist to advance our exploration in the Silver Valley of North Idaho. Based in our Corporate Office in Coeur d'Alene, this position represents a strategic role in leading Hecla's exploration efforts in this world-class silver district. The Senior Exploration Geologist, with a strong background in applied structural geology, will focus on technical excellence with significant hands-on geologic involvement. Geoscientists will be accountable for ensuring that the quality of the geochemical, geotechnical and mineralogical data produced from various Veracio platforms aligns with Veracio's QAQC standards and relay information to internal and external key stakeholders as required and in alignment with Project management systems.As Geoscientist's knowledge and experience develops, responsibility and accountability for processes, instruments, projects and deliverables will grow. Supporting internal development and career progression.Geoscientists will be responsible for the following: ·Demonstrate and articulate how geological insights derived from Veracio's solutions drive measurable improvements and value generation in client's performance and project outcomes Provide primary technical resources for regional commercial directors with support and geological knowledge at various stages of project development, including discovery, scope definition and proposal Review and QA/QC of all geochemical, mineralogical and geotechnical data generated from global operations Delivery of QAQC calibrated and uncalibrated datasets produced from various Veracio SCAN platforms, within time constraints Ensure Data Quality of above-mentioned datasets to clients for projects Create, provide and support technical documentation, reports and communication shared both internally and externally. Project Management of global operations in alignment with Veracio's Operational standards including, but not limited to data acquisition, data quality, personnel management, metric tracking, invoicing and safety standards Support and provide knowledge on troubleshooting technical issues tied to geochemical, geotechnical and mineralogical analytical equipment Support and co-ordinate global operational tasks as required Adhering and promoting safe work environments and culture in alignment with Veracio's standards and values. 1.3 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor Degree in Geology, Geochemistry, Geometallurgy and/or Geophysics Background and/or understanding of XRF datasets Background associated with Hyperspectral datasets Proficient in written and spoken English Valid Drivers License - Manual preferable 1.4 PREFERRED ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE Proficient knowledge of Mineral systems Understanding of hard rock geochemistry and Ore deposit knowledge Mine site related field experience and/or Exploration knowledge and experience (5+years) Experience and knowledge of Geological modeling software (Leapfrog, Vulcan, Surpac) Geological Lab experience Basic Python, R Studio, SQL knowledge 1.5 DESIRABLE SKILLS Proficient in Microsoft packages Ability to adapt to new IT systems Ability to work with and engage a diverse group of stakeholders Problem solving skills Analytical thinking Drive to self-develop Ability to Troubleshoot Project Management Communication and time management skills 1.6 WORKING CONDITIONSThe role for the Veracio Geoscientists will be primarily office based and be expected to work a standard 40hour working week, with the potential of working rosters which align with site requirements and will include 30-50% travel time depending on operational requirements, both internal and external. This role requires flexibility to align with time zones of remote and global teams, as well as impromptu travel as deployments and projects require.     This role will primarily perform office work necessary to complete environmental site assessments, geologic and hydrogeologic investigations, site remediation, field sampling, environmental permits, and other environmental projects. There is flexibility for remote work, as needed, up to 50% of the time. Primary Responsibilities: * Compile and evaluate technical data and assist in preparation of remedial investigation work plans and reports, environmental compliance plans, and permits. * Communicate with project manager, subcontractors, regulatory agents, and clients. * Coordinate and direct drilling, surveying, and laboratory services. * Conduct projects including aquifer testing and evaluation; drilling oversight and soil/rock logging; supply well construction observation; sampling of environmental media; soil boring and monitoring well installation observation; and well development, purging, and sampling. * Prepare field activity reports and relay conceptual interpretation of data to the project management team. Pay Range: $68,000 - $90,000 per year, paid weekly, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Job Requirements Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or related discipline. * Five to ten (5-10) years relevant environmental experience, including environmental field work. * Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word. * Valid driver's license.
