Phase I ESA Environmental Site Assessments
Environmental Risk Reviews
Collaborate with a team to provide and receive support in providing project solutions
Collaborate and interact with EGLE on Brownfield projects, developing work plans, and various scopes of work.
Sampling of various media including soil, groundwater, surface water and soil gas, as well as supporting data compilation/evaluations and report writing
Writing Baseline Environmental Assessments, Documentation of Due Care Compliance, and Response Activity Plans
Opportunity to assist in UST related investigations and Part 213 reporting obligations
Oversight of subcontractors performing various tasks
Interact with commercial/industrial clients to identify needs and develop solutions
Basic Qualifications:
BA/BS degree in Environmental Science/Engineering/Geology
At least five (5) years of experience within the environmental consulting field; preference of direct experience within Commercial/Industrial or Consulting/Engineering sectors
Project management experience essential
Valid Driver's license required
Microsoft Word and Excel proficient
Strong oral and written communication/interpersonal skills is a must.
Preferred working knowledge of ASTM standards for Transaction Screens, Phase I ESAs, Phase II ESAs, experience in evaluating vapor intrusion risks, and EGLE Part 201, Part 213, and EGLE Brownfield Program.

This position functions as a senior Geologist responsible for the regulation and enforcement of Parts 201, 615m 616, and 625 of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act, 1994 PA 451, as amended (NREPA). Qualifications:

The Senior Geologist will lead environmental remedial investigation and stratigraphy projects throughout their life cycle, adapting plans according to budget constraints, design factors and/or client needs. The successful candidate should have a strong technical background in geology (stratigraphy, geomorphology, and/or sedimentology) as well as significant remediation investigation, consulting and project execution experience. The work required includes integration of complex, multigenerational, spatial and analytical data sets to develop and communicate the holistic conceptual site models that guide current and future groundwater remediation.
+ Conduct research and analysis of the regional geology and depositional environments related to a project site. This includes identifying appropriate facies models that represent subsurface conditions.
+ Apply Environmental Sequence Stratigraphic (ESS) methodology to complex data sets consisting of lithologic borings, down hole, and surficial geophysical data (including but not limited to Nuclear Magnetic Resonance, Gamma and e-logs, Electrical Conductivity/Hydraulic Profiling Tool, Seismic, and ground penetrating radar).

Partner is seeking a full-time field Geologist / Staff Scientist / Engineer to support our Environmental Solutions Group in the Central Region. The Environmental Solutions Group focuses on site characterization, risk assessments, implementation of remedial actions, regulatory interaction, litigation support, and expert witness. It is preferred that the candidate has some knowledge of environmental site investigation, mitigation, and remediation services with proven field experience. It is anticipated that to 80% field work will be performed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
In general, this position will be responsible for the following activities: Support environmental investigation, remediation, and compliance-related projects in the field and office. Perform a variety of fieldwork including installation and sampling of soil borings, soil vapor probes, and groundwater monitoring wells; oversight of remedial excavations; soil vapor extraction operations and maintenance; indoor air quality sampling; and air monitoring. Scheduling and oversight of excavation, drilling, and construction subcontractors will also be required.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
Use of electronic records collection methods for field efforts. Perform data analysis and calculations and assist in database development
Prepare and review technical reports, graphics, feasibility studies, work plans, design documents, and construction documents, including geologic and hydrogeologic interpretation from field investigations and sampling, to summarize data, results, and remedial options
Support management of medium-to-large, complex tasks to ensure internal and external expectations are met for scope, budget, schedule, and quality
