In addition to being a Christian school dedicated to spiritual and academic development, Georgetown College in Georgetown, Kentucky, has the distinction of producing scholars and a high number of graduate students. Georgetown's academics consist of more than 70 majors and minors and graduate programs in Education. Undergraduate programs of study include: * Art * Classics * Engineering * Psychology * Religious Studies * Theatre Students in all programs get to examine such Christian ideals as morals, faith and service while engaging in intensive studies. Georgetown also has a highly innovative Spanish-language immersion program, one of the few of its kind in the country. College life at Georgetown includes academic, fine art, literary and special interest clubs. Georgetown also has its own student-run radio station. The extensive financial aid options available at Georgetown make getting a quality education possible to students from all economic backgrounds. Need-based sources include grants, loans and work-study. There is also a wide range of scholarships for eligible students. Some are based on academic merit, and have such requirements as a minimum grade point average of 3.75, while others are awarded based on talent. Still others are given to those pursuing a specific major. Georgetown also awards veteran's benefits. Applicants must possess a high school diploma or GED, an overall average of at least a B and be in the top half of their graduating class. ACT or SAT scores are also evaluated.
