Job Overview
We are hiring for a Research Assistant 2, Department of Oncology/Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center/Georgetown University Medical Center - Georgetown University. The candidate should be familiar with day-to-day assistance required in the laboratory such as ordering reagents, keeping inventories, autoclaving, knowledge of lab safety standards and their routine and timely inspection etc. In addition, the person should be able to carry out the laboratory techniques such as Western blotting, PCR, RT-PCR; should be conversant with tissue culture techniques. Being an immunology/immunotherapy lab, majority of work in the lab requires handling mice, including tumor implantation, injections, breeding mice colonies as well as collecting tissues and their processing. Therefore, an experience in working with mice is desired or the person should be willing to get trained and work with mice. About 20% of the work (or one day in the week) can be performed remotely if needed.

The candidate would work in collaboration with the lab members and would report to Dr. Khleif and Dr. Gupta.

The Wisconsin Cooperative Fishery Research Unit (WICFRU) is seeking 3 fisheries researchtechnicians who will assist WICFRU research scientists and graduate students on projects evaluating:
1) effects of front-facing sonar on angler catch rates of walleye;
2) behavior blue suckers, shovelnose sturgeon, and lake sturgeon after trap-and-transfer above Prairie du Sac Dam (lowermost dam on Wisconsin River);
3) movements of walleye, lake whitefish, muskellunge, and smallmouth bass in Green Bay; and,
4) latent mortality of walleye and lake whitefish discarded from commercial and recreational fisheries in Green Bay.
Technicians may also have the opportunity to work on an independent research project and contribute to additional research projects focused on panfish, muskellunge, lake sturgeon, smallmouth bass, and lake whitefish. The scope of these positions includes hook-and-line angling, assistance with surgical implantation of electronic transmitters, construction and maintenance of telemetry equipment, operation of standard fish sampling gears including fyke nets, boat electrofishing units, and seines, and maintenance of boats, motors, and other field equipment. Duties will require extensive field work that may include working in poor weather conditions (cold and wet). Duties may require extended travel and overnight stays in field stations and/or hotels. Housing may be provided depending on project and field station availability.
This is a temporary full-time appointment, beginning around April 1, 2026, and lasting for about six (6) months.

The Wisconsin Cooperative Fishery Research Unit has been an integral part of fisheries and aquatic science research and education since its inception in 1971. The unit is a cooperation between the U.S. Geological Survey, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, and the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point College of Natural Resources.
Our objectives are to:
conduct world-class fisheries and aquatic science research of interest to cooperators;
educate and train students at the Master's degree level in fisheries and aquatic sciences;
and provide extension services in fisheries and aquatic resource management.

The Tang Lab studies the mechanisms of small cell lung cancer (SCLC) metastasis, with a focus on how cancer cells communicate with neighboring stromal cells during the metastatic cascade.
We use a combination of functional genomics, single cell technology, and mouse engineering to uncover the biology of tumor progression and metastasis. We also apply biostatistics, quantitative biology, and synthetic biology to understand how cell-cell interactions influence cell state and fundamental biological programs.

Verify participant data daily to ensure collection is accurate and process data with MATLAB, Python, and R scripts as needed
Prepare and maintain IRB materials, ensuring compliance with approved procedures
Oversee the ordering, inventory, and management of lab equipment and office supplies; collaborate with the finance and IT departments to coordinate equipment procurement
Supervise daily lab operations, address issues that arise, and report them to supervisors
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
BA/BS degree in Psychology, Cognitive Science, Neuroscience, Education, or related technical field
Experience with IRB and clinical trial procedures
One to three years of academic or professional experience in a research lab
Ability to keep accurate and detailed records of research data
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Excellent interpersonal, time management, and solution-focused problem-solving skills
Willingness to work flexible hours as needed, including evening / after-hours and weekend hours, as needed for particular research activities, and to travel off-site for recruitment events

About the Opportunity The Kostas Research Institute (KRI) at Northeastern University (NU) - a rapidly growing institute that conducts cutting-edge applied R&D - is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic part-time ResearchTechnician with expertise in chemistry or materials science. The ResearchTechnician is expected to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and contribute to the successful execution of R&D projects.
Responsibilities include providing subject matter expertise and proficient execution of laboratory experiments in the preparation and characterization of dynamical optical materials and devices. This position will require the candidate to employ a wide variety of laboratory and data analysis techniques to prepare and characterize combinations of materials tailored toward applications in sensing and information display. Additionally, the candidate will contribute to new and exploratory efforts in formulation and sensor design at KRI, such as the development of bio-inspired materials, electronic display architectures, or paints and coatings. The ResearchTechnician will work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams across the KRI consortium, consisting of academic and industry partners, to create solutions and prototypes for projects in these application areas. The candidate's contributions will be critical to KRI's execution of externally-funded research contracts.
Successful candidates should have a strong background in chemistry, materials science/engineering, or a related discipline, with demonstrated experience in executing fundamental laboratory research with consideration of how new discoveries may translate to technology development. The candidate should be enthusiastic about participating in highly collaborative research efforts with chemists, physicists, biologists, and engineers, and will be expected to deliver written and oral reports describing their scientific progress. A close working relationship with and support of KRI R&D Engineers/Scientists for government and industry contracts will be required.

Minimum Qualifications
