Reporting to the President, the Vice President for Institutional Advancement (VPIA) serves as the Chief Advancement Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, and is responsible for fostering a culture of philanthropy within the University, while cultivating friends and donors to advance the financial growth of the University. The VPIA provides guidance and oversight regarding all matters related to fundraising and all non-tuition revenue and is a visionary leader who advances the strategic fundraising initiatives and designs and implements the comprehensive institutional advancement programs within the mission of the University. In addition to the oversight of the development and alumni relations functions of the university, the position oversees Government Grants, Government Relations and the Center for Professional Studies. The VPIA is also responsible for all marketing and communications for the University, including university branding, the university website, social media, and advertising (digital, radio, television, outdoor) and all internal and external messages. The VPIA works with the VP for Enrollment Management to coordinate all undergraduate and graduate enrollment marketing. Candidates are required to have a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) with a minimum of 5-7 years of fundraising with demonstrated success in the areas of annual capital campaigns, planned giving, major donor development and foundation and corporate relations (in higher education strongly preferred). Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) certification preferred, or eligibility for certification.
