1928

Gerber today is as dedicated to the well-being of babies all over the world, as it was when it began in 1928, and as it will be in the years to come.

1931

The illustration soon became so popular that Gerber adopted it as its official trademark in 1931.

1938

And the company's Consumer Relations Department, begun in 1938 with Mrs.

1960

Gerber began its baby care line in 1960, and now markets more than 350 Gerber and NUK® branded products.

1967

In 1967, the Gerber Life Insurance Company was formed as a subsidiary of Gerber Products Company.

1993

Debbie K. Hills, vice president of children's-wear marketing at Fruit of the Loom, said the company ''started with some of the items and launched expanded programs in 1993,'' but would not disclose earnings for this market.

1995

Gerber Childrenswear, whose products include sleepwear, playwear, bedding and diapers, had sales of $200 million in 1995.

1996

In December 1996, Ann Turner Cook herself was present at the unveiling of Gerber's first new label in more than 40 years.

1997

In 1997, Gerber introduced the Tender Harvest™ line, made with specially selected organic fruits, vegetables and grains.

2002

When Gerber joined the Nestlé family in 2007, the Gerber Nutrition Journey was created to take advantage of the combined research, knowledge and expertise of both companies. As a result of the 2002 FITS study, Gerber developed a program to help children start and stay healthy.

2003

Also in 2003, Gerber introduced a new line of Breast Therapy products, designed to make breastfeeding a more comfortable experience.

2007

When Gerber joined the Nestlé family in 2007, the Gerber Nutrition Journey was created to take advantage of the combined research, knowledge and expertise of both companies.
