Your Purpose:

Your Work:

* Will operate radio pendant overhead crane and forklift to assist in material movement or housekeeping activities.
* During periods of continuous operation, perform troubleshooting activities associated with equipment failure of banding and tying machines and perform necessary routine or minor maintenance repairs within the scope of technical knowledge; also conduct daily maintenance inspection checks on banding and tying machines and perform preventive maintenance activities; coordinate the reloading of strapping and wiring material.
* Perform other auxiliary duties to include staging parts and equipment such as straightener rolls, guides, etc., for changeovers and assisting finishing crew in completing changeover activities.
* Assist maintenance personnel and operators in other preventive and breakdown maintenance, removing and cutting cobbles.
* Prepare and attach identification tags, tie off heat and lot run ends, and occasionally count bundle pieces.
* Prepare accurate simple add and subtraction hand-held measuring tools.
* Multiplication and division to calculate simple tonnage to pound conversion production records including piece count per bundle with explanation for overages or shortages, product length, and heat numbers.
* Maintains close contact with rolling and finishing machine operators to determine and identify the start and finish of each heat and coordinates the changing of tags for each heat directly with the appropriate stacker operator.
* Collect and review for accuracy previous shifts' production report; calculate tonnage produced and forward copies and original to appropriate personnel or departments.
* Using hand tools and pry bars, remove bent, damaged, and shortened pieces from machines, conveyor system, transfer tables/ beds, and finished bundles.
* Manually stack and band products as directed.
* Detect and report faulty material, environmental hazards, and/ or improper operation of plant equipment or machinery; refer questionable and unusual matters to proper supervision. Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion. Follow all safety regulations and practices.

Your Purpose:
This position directly reports to the Plant Controller. The incumbent will be responsible for the accounting functions for the Mill including payables, inventories, cost variances analysis and other financial records as may be assigned. This position is primarily responsible for maintaining accurate accounting transactions, records, and reports necessary to substantiate the financial performance of the mill. The incumbent also assists the Controller in performing monthly analysis of cost records to assist in identification of problem areas. The incumbent will be responsible for the effective and accurate collection, compilation, and issue of performance reports for plant operations involving production data such as production rates, man hours per ton, and dollars per ton. Additionally, the Mill Accountant will show trends and analyze for cost control applications. Assist the controller in preparation of quarterly and annual reports and annual operating budgets.
You Have:
* Four year college degree in Accounting, with a broad background in accounting and cost analysis.
* 3-5 years of previous qualifying experience in jobs involving accounting practices and inventory control.
* CMA or CPA certification or working towards certification is preferred.
* A career path ambition to become a Mill Controller in 3-5 years and willing to relocate if a suitable opportunity arises.
* Strong analytical computer skills. Previous experience with SAP or other CMMS systems preferred.
Your Work:
* Maintain accurate and timely accounting transactions, records, and reports in close coordination and cooperation with Controller.
* Review accounts payable for proper approvals and account codes.
* Maintain fixed asset records coordinating with Corporate Tax Department. Track and account for capital projects; assure accurate reporting and classification; prepare comparison to capital budget; analyze cost overruns, etc.
* Maintain inventory records of scrap, supplies, alloys, fluxes, billets, finished goods to assure accurate recording of production, production costs, shipments and cost of sales. Responsible for monitoring and recording cycle count adjustments in accounting records and reconciling detail inventory records with general ledger. Coordinates physical inventories with corporate accounting and outside auditors.
* Maintain operating statistics - production rates, yields, costs/ton, usage, man-hours, etc. and analysis of trends.
* Assist Controller in preparing division's annual business plan and budgets, provide monthly reporting of actual to plan to division management.
* Review payroll reporting and cost accounting to include overtime analysis; provide feedback to management on timely basis.
* Assist Controller in office management - equipment purchases and maintenance, office supplies, vendor relationships, etc.
* Supervises and coaches the AP Clerk.
* Responsible for several phases of monthly closing process.
* Performs closing process in absence of Controller.

Join Orion Steel as a Sr. Manager, Benefits, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our company's future by designing and managing cutting-edge benefits programs that attract and retain top talent. You will lead a dynamic team to innovate and implement strategies that enhance employee satisfaction and well-being, directly contributing to Orion Steel's success.
* Responsible for the oversight of defined contribution benefit and defined benefit retirement plans along with all health and welfare plans. This includes annual filings, actuarial valuations, investment monitoring, administrative committee organization and plan documents
* Manges all provider and vendor relationships, auditors and consultants.
* Maintains knowledge of and analyzes government regulations, benefit program trends and prevailing market practices. Ensures all compliance with applicable legislation
* Hires, trains, develops, monitors, and evaluates performance of staff. Reviews and recommends personnel actions for approval
* Oversees and coordinates all audits including government required audits for their area
* Prepares annual benefit budget and associated reports
* Supports benefits in collective bargaining process
* Manages benefit updates, entry and configuration/testing of HRIS
Requirements
* Bachelor degree in Human Resources or related field
* Minimum of 8+ years progressive experience in employee benefits including 3+ years of management and 1 year of defined benefit experience
* CEBS or CBP/CPBI a plus
* Experience working with HRIS especially Workday, payroll and site HR
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Ability to research and analyze complex regulations, legal documents, and contracts
* Strong attention to detail, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
* Strong leadership, collaboration, team development and influencing skills
* Advanced PowerPoint and Excel necessary
Compensation
* $140,000 - $150,000 USD per year
