Gerelco Traffic Controls -we are specialty contractors that provide installation services for highway lighting, signage, traffic signal intersections, and complete (ITS) Intelligent Traffic Systems. We have a drill shaft crew able to create the foundations and install any sign from a single sign post to a large cantilever structure.
Job Site is in West Palm Beach
Essential Functions
Cleanup of construction site as needed, by removing and properly disposing of construction debris, rubble, waste materials and other site hazards
Moving materials to the worksite and ensuring all tools, machinery, and other equipment are safely set up.
Add and/or remove fill on jobsite
Set braces to support trenches or excavation areas
Assist in bending conduit and pulling wire
Unload trucks, receive deliveries and transfer materials throughout jobsite
Maintain a safe, clean and secure job site by handling and storing materials and tools properly when not in use
Operate equipment on the job site
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Physical Demands

Essential Functions
Installation of conduit, wiring, poles, signal heads, controllers, switches, and vehicle detectors, under the direction of a superintendent.
Installation of fiber optic cables, underground conduit lines, junction boxes, and traffic control devices.
Remove and repair signal control and auxiliary equipment such as traffic signal controllers and cabinets vehicle and pedestrian head assemblies, and lighting and circuitry devices and systems.
Adjust, repair, replace, and modify electric, electronic, and mechanical components, controllers,relays, switches, fuses, timers, and other related parts and equipment.
Install, maintain, and repair, vehicle identification and detection systems.
Coordinate repairs with contractors and government agencies to ensure work is properly completed within standards and codes.
Assist in the installation of traffic and streetlight cable
Housekeeping of work area and work vehicles
Re-stocking of work vehicles or storage areas
Perform pre and post vehicle and equipment inspections
Operates and inspects Traffic Division Aerial Tower Trucks as directed.
Inspects work areas to determine type of work required and materials and equipment to be used.
Confers with other supervisors to coordinate vehicles or heavy equipment required to complete given tasks
