PURPOSE/BELIEF STATEMENT:
The position of GNA Geriatric Nursing Assistant exists to provide routine nursing and personal care for residents to assure that the highest degree of quality resident care is maintained at all times. While focusing on delivering quality resident care, the position must also manage the resources that are available to them in their job.

- High school graduate or G. E. D. equivalent
- Graduate of an approved Nurse Aide Training Program or be eligible to enter such a program and graduate and pass a state test within 120 days from date of employment.

Responsibilities of a (GNA) Geriatric Nursing Assistant:
- Perform ADLs such as bathing, dressing, serving meals, feeding, ambulating, turning, positioning, etc.
- Maintain clean living conditions for residents.
- Ensure all reports and records are completed in a timely manner.
- Perform all duties in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work independently or part of a group.
- Computer knowledge.
- Previous long term care experience is preferred but not required.
License:
