Minimum qualifications:

Registration with state Prescription Monitoring Program (PMP)

The ability to provide telehealth
Compensation details:
Per session payment of $130 per initial visit (60 min) and $90 per follow-up visit (30 min)
Additional $50 payment for 90833 coding
Direct deposit every two weeks with no need to worry about unpaid claims
No-show protection: Rula pays you 100% of your time even when the patient no-shows, cancels late, or the claim is denied
As an independent contractor, the amount of time you allocate to working with Rula is entirely up to you!

You will:

Have access to our EHR & telehealth platform
Receive support from our Support and Care Coordination teams

Clinical leadership: Rula's executive team includes a licensed provider engaged in business decisions and planning, ensuring the provider perspective is always included.
Fully compliant and ethical: We are fully compliant with HIPAA and have a Medical Records team to handle all releases, audits, or record requests. Our practices align with your professional Code of Ethics and all regulatory requirements.
Clinical support: Our Care Coordination team manages Higher Level of Care requests for your patients.

About the role
We are seeking a compassionate and collaborative Supervising Psychiatrist to join our growing team. In this role, you'll provide direct clinical care and help shape the future of psychiatry at Two Chairs. You'll supervise and mentor advanced practice providers (APPs) to ensure excellent, ethical, and measurement-based care across the team.
What makes this role unique? The Supervising Psychiatrist will treat patients and supervise and support advanced practice providers, such as nurse practitioners (NPs) or physician assistants (PAs), including reviewing their cases and treatment plans, assisting them in handling complex or crisis situations and ensuring clinical quality and adherence to best practices.
What You'll Do
Clinical Care
Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment for individuals with mild to moderate conditions, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, and mood disorders.
Prescribe medications responsibly, ethically, and in alignment with measurement-based care.
Conduct follow-up assessments, manage medications, and offer psychotherapy when clinically appropriate to optimize patient outcomes.
Supervision & Mentorship
Supervise and mentor APPs (NPs, PAs, APRNs), ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and best practices.
Review documentation and treatment plans to ensure quality and adherence to compliance standards.
Support APPs in managing clinical crises in line with guidelines.
Process Development
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and improve tools, workflows, and care models that elevate psychiatric care.
Help define and implement treatment guidelines and protocols that exceed industry standards.
Patient Support & Education
Provide psychoeducation and psychotherapy as appropriate to support medication adherence and engagement.
Partner with patients to set goals that enhance their mental health and quality of life.
Team Collaboration
Work alongside therapists, care coordinators, and other clinicians in a collaborative, interdisciplinary care model.
Contribute to case reviews, clinical discussions, and organizational planning.
Partner with clinical leadership to refine operational workflows and clinical decision-making support systems.
What Success Looks Like in the First 90 Days
Begin supervising and mentoring advanced practice providers, offering real-time support and ongoing guidance.

We're looking for someone who is/possesses:
Board-certified psychiatrist (MD or DO)
An active and unrestricted medical license to practice psychiatry in a state served by Two Chairs, or eligibility for expedited licensure through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)

This is a part-time, exempt position with a flexible schedule of 10 to 20 hours per week, based on the candidate's availability and interest. Compensation is based on an hourly rate that varies by geographic zone and ranges from $145 to $200 per hour, depending on location, qualifications, and experience.

Zone 1: New York City and San Francisco Bay Area - $170-$200/hr
Zone 2: Portland (OR), Boston, Chicago, DC, NJ, WA, and all other California locations - $160-$185/hr

The Role:

This position is a 1099 independent contractor role estimated at 5-15 hours per month, depending on the number of NPs you're collaborating with. Must reside and be licensed in Georgia.

Conduct a minimum of three patient chart audits per month per nurse practitioner that you are supervising; requirements will vary based on states regulations
Hold a monthly 1-hour office hour (or two 30-minute sessions) for designated nurse practitioners
Evaluate and assess that proper documentation and appropriate interventions are being implemented
Fulfill any state-specific requirement as a collaborator (attendance in meetings, etc.)
Must be clinically strong, function autonomously and competently, and utilize critical thinking skills to provide appropriate triage care
Each nurse practitioner that you supervise will roughly be an hour of work per individual per month (must abide by state rules and regulations)

About the Role
The Psychiatrist at InStride is responsible for providing high quality psychiatric treatment to our patients. The Psychiatrist is part of a multidisciplinary InStride team and also collaborates closely with families, primary care physicians, and outpatient prescribers to meet patients' needs. The Psychiatrist creates and maintains a professional, friendly atmosphere for patients, families, InStride staff, and referring physicians, and demonstrates a commitment to InStride Health's Mission and Core Values.
Responsibilities:
Provide psychiatric evaluation, medication treatment plan, and ongoing medication management services to children and teens.
Collaborate with InStride care team and outpatient pediatrician (and psychiatrist if applicable)
Participate in clinical team meetings centered around patient care, collaboration, and education
Schedule patients as indicated and complete documentation in a timely and thorough manner
Provide feedback on workflow improvements and offer ideas for program growth and innovation

The starting annual salary for this role is $250,000, prorated to $62,500 for 0.25 FTE (10 hours per week). Job Summary:
The Psychiatrist Physician Reviewer will provide principal leadership and clinical expertise to operations relating to the peer review process, utilization review activities, and other activities requiring clinical leadership and consultation. Conduct peer-to-peer physician consultations as requested/required and document consultations
