About the role Join our team at our state-of-the-art ethanol plant in Richardton, ND, as an Electrical/Instrumentation Technician. Must have experience installing and configuring electrical and instrumentation equipment. Must have knowledge with VFD's, PLC's and system programming. Must have troubleshooting skills and be able to calibrate transmitters and valves. This individual must be able to handle extreme environmental and physical activities. Also be detail orientated. Who You Are Installation: * Install and configure electrical and instrumentation equipment, including sensors, transmitters, and control valves. Maintenance: * Perform preventive maintenance, calibrations, and repairs on a wide range of equipment to ensure accuracy and optimal performance. Troubleshooting: * Diagnose and correct problems in complex electrical and control systems, often using technical drawings and schematics. System work: * Work with various systems, including power distribution, PLCs, and VFDs. Documentation: * Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, and calibration activities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES + Performs inspections, evaluates non-destructive testing results, and assists with fitness-for-service evaluations on refinery equipment (such as, but not limited to tanks, heaters, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, boilers, piping, pressure relief valves) to ensure mechanical integrity, safety, and reliability. + Ensures construction and repairs comply with all applicable codes, industry practices, and MPC standards. + Analyzes inspection findings, prepares reports, and generates repair/upgrade/modify recommendations based on inspection findings. + Collaborates with Engineering and Maintenance to establish inspection scope and intervals. + Prepares inspection plans and intervals using electronic databases and RBI software. + Performs calculations of remaining life and corrosion rates. + Generates turnaround work scope in collaboration with Engineering, Reliability, Operations, Maintenance, and Tech Services. + Assists in the planning and execution of inspection activities during turnarounds. + Coordinates services of contract inspectors. + Ensures all inspections are completed in their assigned area of responsibility. + Evaluates contract inspector reports and NDE results. + Coordinates failure analysis activities and provides recommendations for mitigation methods. + Collaborates with Operations, Tech Service, and Reliability on development and implementation of risk-based routine and preventive maintenance procedures. + Maintains inspection databases and ensures documentation is current, accurate, complete, and compliant. + Maintains organized and current equipment filing systems. + Support of the Dickinson Renewable Diesel Facility may also be periodically required for either routine or extended shutdown support. Will oversee various solids control services such as, air drilling, barite recovery, de-watering, floc water, fluid transfers, target lo gravity solids, cuttings drying/invert recovery, etc. Will have comprehensive understanding of drilling fluid properties including drilling fluid weight, funnel viscosity, retort analysis and will perform drilling fluid analysis. Will oversee, and when necessary, perform routine maintenance services, and routine electrical services on various equipment. Will oversee and mentor and coach technicians on standard operating procedure for moving cuttings from pits to trailers, by operating heavy machinery, safely and efficiently. Must complete mentor certification program aiding in the ability to handle a variety of personality issues appropriately. Will perform rig audits.
