Responsibilities:
Responsible for creating and maintaining an environment that is clean, safe, and attractive for our guests.
Prioritizing comfort and cleanliness of staterooms, facilities, and common areas around the ship.
Acknowledge guests by name and kindly take action for all housekeeping-related inquiries and service requests according to American Cruise Lines' service standards.
Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors.
Organizing inventory and stocking linen and supplies.
Carefully cleaning up spills with appropriate equipment and notifying managers of necessary maintenance requests.
Collecting and disposing of trash.
Properly cleaning upholstered furniture and lounge spaces.
Creating genuine relationships with our guests and catering to all housekeeping requests in an efficient manner.
In addition to the routine housekeeping duties, Housekeepers may be required to perform other functions, such as greeting guests upon embarkation, and helping during special events including but not limited to afternoon tea and snacks and participate in evening cocktail parties.

Qualifications:
You must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and an American citizen or Green Card holder. You must be willing and able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, for 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks. Employees must be able to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking.
Under Federal Law and the Department of Transportation, we are required to pre-employment drug test all shipboard employees which includes testing for Marijuana and other controlled substances. To provide safe and conscientious service to our guests, the consumption of alcohol is strictly prohibited. All shipboard employees also have emergency and safety functions essential to the safe operation of the ship that are included in your training.

The Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning guest rooms and responding to guest requests at the highest standards in support of the hotel's continuing effort to deliver exceptional guest service.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Experience
• Previous experience housekeeping is strongly preferred.
JOB ESSENTIALS
• Provide a clean, safe and well-maintained guest room for all guests of the hotel.
• Thoroughly clean guest rooms as assigned, including, but not limited to making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting and vacuuming to Doubletree brand standards
• Dispose of trash and recyclables
• Perform deep cleaning tasks, as needed
• Gather supplies/equipment/amenities as needed daily
• Respond to guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner. Get assistance to help guests when needed.
• Manage guest requests, inquiries, and complaints promptly and completely. Ensure follow up with guest are performed in a timely manner to maintain a high level of guest satisfaction and quality service. In the event of dissatisfaction, negotiate compromise in accordance to the "Make it Right" established guidelines.
• Follow proper Hotel safety policies and procedures and use safety equipment as needed to ensure the safety of all team members during each shift. Reports all accidents and injuries in a timely manner.
• Ensure work area is clean and clear of standing water, debris or any objects that can obstruct the job duties from being performed safely, efficiently and effectively
• Perform any other job related duties as assigned.

Ensures clean, fresh laundry is available all day, every day
Is a master of the tools and products necessary to give us the freshest laundry in the spa industry
Greets each guest with a smile
Maneuvers the spa with ease and grace collecting soiled laundry without distracting guests or team members
Maintains an organized work space and places laundry in dedicated places

Uses the right tools to clean the floors and powder rooms daily
Is the sanitation police and ensures all areas especially damp and moist areas are treated with extra care

Essential Job Functions:
* Lead, direct all housekeeping operations including, Guest Room Attendants and House Attendants.
* Plan, organize, and monitor staff activities to ensure compliance with quality assurance standards set by the hotel, which requires continuous visual inspection of guest rooms and public space areas including restaurants, lounges, meeting rooms, etc.
* Inspect all guest rooms and public areas as assigned and coach attendants of any deficiencies found.
* Assign attendants' carts/signs board in the morning and the afternoon
* Inspect public areas, housekeeping closets for standards compliance
* Oversee the laundry vendor's operation to ensure productivity standards are met, safety procedures are followed and the company assets are maintained and protected.
* Work closely with the Front Office regarding room stock and availability via phone or in person
* Submit maintenance reports/requests and follow up for completion
* Establish and maintain adequate supplies for efficient operation of the department.
* Distribute and delegate workload to guarantee maximum production and guest satisfaction
* Ensure that all staff members are adhering to all safety and security procedures including entering of guest rooms (both staff member and guest requests to open guest room doors), master key protection, work space safety, reporting lost or damaged hotel property, fire safety and reporting suspicious situations.
* Work collaboratively with other departments, such as Front Desk and Maintenance departments.
* Ensure proper usage of chemicals and cleaning supplies by monitoring usage, providing complete training for team members and ensuring proper labeling of hazardous supplies in accordance with hotel hazard communication programs.
* Evaluate condition of furniture, fixtures, decor, etc.
* Be constantly alert for newer methods, techniques, equipment, and materials that will improve the departments' overall operation and provide more efficient operation at reduced costs
* Check appearance of all team members to ensure compliance with standards of appearance
* Comply with quality assurance expectations, standards and hotel rating guidelines.
* Communicate both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to staff.

Qualifications:
* Three years' experience in housekeeping as an individual contributor preferred.
* Proficient in hotel management systems.
