Receive and sign QA/QC Turn-Over Checklists prior to PSSRs.
Under direction of the project manager, lead the final field activities required to close a project i.e. any construction related changes or punch list items.
Obtain Job Completion documentation from Contractors, including As-Builts which are forwarded to the PM.
SAFETY & ENVIRONMENTAL
Assure all work meets safety and environmental regulations and procedures; facilitate “Life Critical” permits for contractors assuring proper notification and signatures of proper plant personnel. (LOTO, Hot Work, Line Break, Confined Space, and Critical Lifts).
Verify that contractors are trained on any site specific procedures i.e., Fall Protection and Scaffolding Awareness.
Report monthly manpower numbers (individual projects to the various PMs and totals to the designated Project Control Tech) for the calculation of safety incident rates.
Confirm on-site construction personnel meet the site/Company security and safety requirements.
Witness and document contractor toolbox safety meetings.
Participate in incident reviews involving contractors.
Report Incidents to Capital Leader and the Project Engineer/Manager.
SCHEDULE
Drive construction schedules and deliverables. Do not take a passive role. Coordinate independent contractor schedule milestones to maintain the overall project schedule.
Report schedule deviations to the Project Manager.
Identify & recommend overall Construction workload adjustments when appropriate.
Present to PMs, any conflicts or opportunities, regarding safety, cost, schedule, constructability, operability, maintainability.
COST CONTROL
Do the initial review of contractors' invoices and estimate percent complete verses percent billed. Pass on to project engineer for receiving in SAP.
COMMISIONING & START-UP
Manage the field redlined as-built drawings and pass to project engineer.
Lead loop check activities.
Participate in PSSR.
Complete PSSR punch list pertaining to construction.
Participate in Contractor Performance Rating for each of the major contractors as needed.
Participate in the project critique.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the future of our Contamination Assessment & Remediation service line through the coordination and implementation of a wide range of environmental solutions and projects.
In this role, you will prepare technical correspondence, project proposals, reports, work plans, and project specifications, while coordinating and implementing project permitting activities. Climate Adaptation Strategy: Lead the development and execution of climate adaptation strategies for multiple large-scale projects or geographic locations, focusing on sustainability and resilience.
Community of Practice Management: Participate in and contribute to a community of practice in a defined area of expertise or consulting to build own capability and develop innovative practice among colleagues.
Education
Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or related field

Experience
10+ years of experience in environmental consulting including environmental remediation and site assessments, report writing, data management & interpretation, project coordination, and managing clients
Project experience in federal contracts beneficial

Who are we looking for?
Our Central Region Environmental businesses in Plainwell, MI is looking for a Senior Environmental Engineer, Geologist, or Scientist to join their team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the future of our Contamination Assessment & Remediation service line through the coordination and implementation of a wide range of environmental solutions and projects.
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
Preparation of technical correspondence, project proposals, reports, work plans, and project specifications
Interpretation/evaluation of environmental regulations
Data compilation, reduction, and interpretation
Management of clients
Development of business opportunities
Mentorship of staff
What you will bring to the Team
Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or related field
10+ years of experience in environmental consulting including environmental remediation and site assessments, report writing, data management & interpretation, project coordination, and managing clients
Project experience with CERCLA is beneficial
Experience in coordinating and simultaneously managing multiple tasks while maintaining a high degree of attention to detail in a consulting environment is required
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work both within a team and independently
Ability work in a fast-paced environment
OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification a plus

Holiday Pay - Holiday pay is provided for eligible employees. GHD observes 9 holidays per year. Holiday pay will be based on the regular set schedule for the employee
