Responsibilities
Engineering Solutions Design: Design engineering solutions and the associated validation process to enable the realization of a design brief (for example, in terms of functionality, performance, aesthetics, and cost) that conforms to organizational and/or regulatory standards.
Engineering Standards Specification: Contribute to the analysis of information, the drafting of engineering standards and specifications, and the evaluation of the effectiveness of those standards within own engineering discipline to inform engineering work in the organization and/or of its suppliers, contractors, and consultants.

Current Professional Engineer (PE) license

Support of strategic pursuits, focused on federal sector and private industrial clients.
Working on a wide variety of environmental remediation projects including permeable reactive barriers, slurry walls, liner/cap/cover, stabilization/solidification, excavation, and more.
Work within multi-disciplinary project teams, providing environmental advice to other GHD teams.
Collaborate on technical solutions/designs with multiple disciplines including hydrology, geotechnical, environmental, ecological, estimating, permitting, constructability, and more.
Remain current on standard methodologies for innovative remediation approaches.
Manage design projects including budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
Development and review of technical environmental reports, drawings, specifications, and proposals.
Opportunity to work on local, national, and global projects, which may at times entail supporting other GHD office locations requiring some travel.
Support and mentor junior team members in a learning and collaborative atmosphere.
Manage subcontractors and fieldwork.
What you will bring to the team:
Civil or environmental engineering degree
Possession of P.E. registration to be used to stamp/certify designs. P.E. registration, or the ability to obtain registration within 6 months, in selected states in the US Central South Region is required.
5+ years of progressive experience
Experience with developing and implementing strategies for complex remediation and/or risk management projects.
Experience in the technical delivery of investigations, designs including drawings and specifications, and construction support for environmental remediation projects.
Experience and desire to provide high-profile clients with responsive and innovative solutions.
Experience working on both US Federal and Private projects is considered an asset.
Proven experience in client advocacy while developing trusted relationships with regulators and contractors.
Understanding US environmental regulations.
Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and report-writing skills.
