POSITION SUMMARY
The Marketing Manager leads corporate marketing, public relations, and proposal production under the direction of the Director of Preconstruction. Responsibilities include creating marketing, public relations, presentation and event materials, with a focus on proposal development, writing/editing, content creation, and graphic layout. The role also involves managing marketing tools and systems (databases, files, and collateral) and representing the company at industry events. The Marketing Manager develops and implements strategies aligned with Gibbs Construction's brand and goals, including internal engagement and announcements, external marketing via the company website and social media, and preconstruction efforts such as responding to requests for proposals and qualifications.
This role requires a highly organized and creative thinker with exceptional writing and editing skills. A commitment to excellence, strong attention to detail, and a proactive, collaborative approach are essential. The ideal candidate will be flexible, adaptable, and able to manage tight deadlines and effectively handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage proposal development process
Read and analyze requests for qualifications (RFQs) and requests for proposals (RFPs)
Establish priorities and target dates to meet proposal deadlines
Manage proposal technical writing process with input from preconstruction and operations employees
Edit proposal content for readability, consistency, clarity, and compliance with requirements
Develop and execute Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE)/ Women Business Enterprise (WBE)/ Small Business Enterprise (SBE) outreach
Produce and manage external communications
Manage company website such as content, news updates, and photos
Manage and update social media platforms
Coordinate project photography and jobsite signage
Source corporate merchandise including employee and safety apparel
Manage corporate brand standards
Ensure information and messaging across marketing platforms and communications is consistent and accurate
Utilize and update CRM database
Perform annual preparation of industry award submittals
Track and measure certain metrics to establish benchmarks and determine effectiveness of marketing and preconstruction efforts
Create solid rapport and communicate clearly with key advertising agency personnel on special projects in support of the overall brand strategy and its goals
Represent company to clients, architect/engineering industry & trade organizations, subcontractors, vendors, and community
Assist HR with external recruitment strategies and campaign communications
Collaborate with HR on employee engagement and community service efforts including external communications
Actively pursue continuing professional education and training
Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
Bachelor's Degree, preferred
3+ years related experience, preferred
Knowledge of construction industry, preferred
Proficient writing and grammar skills
Computer Skills
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, record keeping, database activity
Rudimentary skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign)

Gibbs Construction is looking for motivated and detail-oriented candidates to join our 2025 Summer Internship Program. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on, real-world experience in Preconstruction and Operations while working with industry professionals on exciting projects.
As an Operations intern, you will assist the Project Manager and Superintendent with managing and reviewing construction documents (RFIs, ASIs, change orders, and CCDs), supporting quality control and punch list efforts, tracking project cost and progress, and gaining hands-on experience with industry-standard construction software (On-Screen Take Off, BlueBeam, Procore).
As a Preconstruction intern, you will assist the Preconstruction Managers with gathering, calculating, and compiling data for estimates and bid proposals, soliciting and reviewing pricing from subcontractors and material suppliers, performing detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analysis, assisting in maintaining accurate cost databases and interacting with owners, architects, and engineers regarding prospective projects.

Mortenson is currently seeking Project Administrative Assistant with the ability to interact with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative and executive support tasks with an ability to work independently or with little supervision.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform clerical tasks and operate basic office equipment
Handle incoming calls and providing general information, forward calls to the appropriate party and take messages as required
File and maintain written records along with creating electronic copies for records
Receive, sort and log all deliveries into computer database
Prepare daily outbound deliveries
Prepare materials for design and construction meetings
Record and update meeting minutes for the various site meetings
Responsible for procurement of consumable materials and office supplies
Support Superintendent with equipment inventory tracking and organization
Support Superintendent with the entry of craft worker timecards
General support for the project team as needed with various day to day tasks
Schedule, track and log all repairs and standard maintenance for the work trucks

QUALIFICATIONS
An associate's degree in business or related administrative experience preferred
Minimum of 3 years administrative experience, preferably supporting a large number of team members
Proficiency in working on the computer in Microsoft Office, Excel, Email and Calendar systems, and PowerPoint
Strong working knowledge of basic office equipment
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to be highly organized

POSITION SUMMARY
The Superintendent is responsible for coordinating all field activities to complete each project safely, on time, in budget, and per plans and specs.
