Job Summary
This position will assist in the assembly and delivery or meals and food products for hospital patients, staff, and visitors. This position will maintain the Café and operate the Micros system following established cash handling procedures.
Core Job Responsibilities
Prepares food utilizing standardized recipes and safety guidelines in a timely manner
Ensures all food and/or supplies are ready for service at established times
Ensures that all food being held for service is within established temperature ranges recording and temps every two hours, items not in proper temp are corrected
Understands and complies with Sodexo cashier policy
Assures adequate supply of all food items for sale and also adequate supply of stock, both food and non-food
Maintains an efficient pace in the café (cashier duties, Expresstime, cleaning and restocking and preparing café for upcoming meal period
Any additional tasks delegated by the Manager/Supervisor/Teamleaders needed.
Education/Experience Requirements
Previous Retail experience, cooking, prep-cook experience or other related field is helpful, but not required.
Must be able to learn and understand proper operation of kitchen equipment and systems.
Able to work under varied pressure loads.
Must be able to work well with others and be able to operate within specific timelines.
Energetic, enthusiastic and motivational.
Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
