ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Human Resources Operations Analyst to join our team. This position is an integral partner for ensuring quality data, upholding processes, and empowering cross-functional communication within our organization. This individual will be the go-to expert for complex HR transactions, data auditing, and compliance reporting, while also leading HR projects that drive efficiency and improve employee experience. The ideal professional is someone who has well-developed analytical and functional skills and is passionate about accuracy, compliance, policies, and regulations. As a member of the HR team, you may be given other job duties to support the department unrelated HR Operations.
This position is on site in Livermore, CA and reports to the Director of Human Resources (Corporate)
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL
Own and enhance core HR processes including employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding, compliance, and policy implementation
Ensure actions comply with company policies and procedures and to local, state, and federal employment law
Support managers and employees with transactions in SAP SuccessFactors while maintaining data integrity
Identify opportunities to streamline operations and implement scalable solutions that improve employee experience
Generate HR reports and provide operational insights to support decision-making
Prepare compliance reporting (EEO, ACA, state/federal audits)
Lead HR-related projects, such as process optimization, policy rollouts, or system enhancements in partnership with HRIS
Establish and enforce best practices regarding standard operating procedures (SOPs) for ticket resolution as well as operational workflows
Utilize and work within a case management tool (Freshservice) for handling and prioritizing requests to ensure SLA is achieved
Work cross-functionally with teams to collect documentation for legal and/or compliance related initiatives
Support HR systems releases, identify impact and enhancement opportunities associated with a new release, and communicate appropriately with key stakeholders
Develop processes to audit, analyze, resolve, and mitigate current and future issues
Other HR activities as needed within the HR department
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent experience required
Minimum 4 years of progressive experience in HR operations, HR analytics, or HR support
Strong knowledge of HR processes, compliance requirements, and data governance
Expertise with HR systems (HRIS platforms like SAP SuccessFactors; case/ticketing systems such as Freshservice)
Advanced experience in MS Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Advanced Excel, Visio, and SharePoint)
Solid knowledge of core HR processes, including onboarding/offboarding, position changes, benefits administration, payroll, and employee data integrity
Must have the ability to remain focused, professional, tactful, committed to confidentiality, and discrete when handling sensitive and/or confidential information
Excellent communication skills, consistent responsiveness and strong problem-resolution abilities (critical, strategic, and evaluative thinking)

Inspect and verify the quality of work and document defects observed

We are looking for a Mechanical CAD Designer / Standard Part Librarian responsible for developing and maintaining detailed 3D models, assemblies, and 2D drawings for bus components and sub-systems using Siemens NX. In addition to mechanical design, this position administers and maintains Engineering's Standard Parts Library and CAD data standards within Teamcenter, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with GILLIG's engineering, manufacturing, and documentation standards.
This role plays a key part in promoting design reuse, maintaining data integrity, and supporting continuous improvement of CAD and PLM systems and data. IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL
Create and maintain detailed 3D models, assemblies, installations, and 2D drawings for bus components and sub-systems using Siemens NX
Apply mechanical design principles, including tolerance stack-ups, interface definition, and packaging, with emphasis on manufacturability, assembly, and serviceability
Process redlines and engineering change revisions in collaboration with Engineering and Manufacturing teams

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Associates Degree or technical certification in mechanical design, engineering technology, or related field
Minimum 2 years of 3D parametric modeling experience in Siemens NX (or equivalent CAD platform)
Technical proficiency in Siemens NX and Teamcenter. Working knowledge with other PLM systems (Windchill, Vault, SolidWorks PDM, etc.) a plus

ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an Industrial Maintenance Technician known as a Journeyperson Maintenance Mechanic at GILLIG. Duties include troubleshooting electrical, problem solving, day-to-day preventive maintenance tasks, equipment repair, and fabrication necessary to maintain the facility and manufacturing equipment. This includes PLC's, VFD's, conveyors, grinders, fans, tools, heavy equipment, etc. As an Industrial Maintenance Technician, you must have the ability to read and understand mechanical\electrical diagrams and technical repair manuals. ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Mechanical Engineer is focused on the design and industrialization of content for GILLIG's continuously evolving product line. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will have influence over complex vehicles, systems, and component level designs. Duties involve engineering assistance, problem resolution, mechanical design, BOM development, application research & other engineering duties in support of the manufacturing of heavy-duty transit buses. This person will have direct influence in the design of components and assemblies as well as mentoring other engineers within the engineering teams. This is a direct, full-time position with GILLIG.
This is a hands-on, on-site role at our Livermore, CA plant and reports to the Manager - Powertrain & Structures but may also receive direction and guidance from senior engineers.
TECHNICAL FOCUS
Structures & Suspension
The GILLIG bus consists of many welded, bolted, and riveted joints that make up the primary structural elements of the bus. Fluent knowledge of sheet metal design from component to assembly, including steel, stainless steel, and aluminum fabrications, extrusions, and castings is a typical daily demand. Along with the structural aspect of the bus, the vehicle's suspension, steering, braking, and pneumatic systems are integral to this group. This position requires the ability to review customer specifications & requirements and deliver chassis & body structure designs as well as suspension, steering, and pneumatic brake systems that meet these needs. The Structures team has consistently been where engineering mechanics, thermo-fluids, and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) all collide.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL
Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM), defining appropriate application of parts & assembly; providing input on modular BOM structure to maintain and improve configuration efficiency
Gather information regarding supplier components, existing GILLIG designs and technological advancements to rationalize and optimize design concepts

The Validation Engineer will be guided by technical requirements to conduct system and vehicle level design verification (DV) and production validation (PV) tests to confirm achievement of these requirements within established program timelines. This is a hands-on, on-site role at our Livermore, CA plant and reports to the Manager of Validation but may also receive direction and guidance from senior engineers.

Utilize program targets, system requirements and various control documents to develop and release comprehensive DV/PV plans, reports, recommendations
Create and execute test plans for associated vehicle systems and the entire vehicle. Electrical Engineering is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing electrical systems and components, such as low & high voltage power distribution, CANbus network topology & variation, infotainment/CAD/AVL & surveillance system integration to ensure safety, durability, and performance. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet regulatory standards, troubleshoot issues during production, and ensure cost-effective and efficient designs tailored to the needs of heavy-duty transit buses.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Electrical Engineer position is a hands-on role directly responsible for transit bus design. Duties involve requirements analysis engineering, concept design, detailed design, problem resolution, vehicle attribute design, BOM development, customer application research & other engineering duties that involve designing, configuring and industrializing electrical systems for the manufacturing of heavy-duty transit buses. This person will have direct influence at the systems and components level to optimize vehicle functionality and performance attributes. This is a direct, full-time position with GILLIG.
This is an on-site position in Pleasanton that will report directly to the Head of Zero Emission Bus Platform but may also receive direction and guidance from staff/senior engineers.
TECHNICAL FOCUS
Power and Signal Distribution
You will apply your skills & experience to provide highly customized, vehicle-based power & signal distribution systems through definition and/or selection of harnesses, devices, fusing, and connectors of appropriate size. Additional consideration for routing and environmental conditions will also play a major factor as the GILLIG Transit Bus is both a heavy-duty industrial and automotive product. Staying current with the latest vehicle electrical power management technology and regulations is necessary for both innovation and regulatory compliance. Experience with low voltage (12/24VDC) and high voltage (600VDC, 240/480VAC) is required. Experience in electrical harness manufacturing and/or industrial control systems a plus.
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL
Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM), defining appropriate application of parts & assembly; providing input on modular BOM structure to maintain and improve configuration efficiency
Gather information regarding supplier components, existing GILLIG designs and technological advancements to rationalize and optimize design concepts
Use analytical tools to assess designs of self and others, including but not limited to, power, grounding, circuit protection, harmonics, mechanical performance, and durability
Perform design trade-offs and optimization to devise robust, manufacturable, and maintainable design concepts
Use ECAD tools to create, review & release vehicle components, schematics and harness assemblies
Gain a mastery of both Customer & Design REI releases, including significant involvement in BOM structuring, Change Control, Production Change Order (PCO), and Engineered Production Change
Support designs throughout entre lifecycle, including development, production launch, variant designs & customization, and field support
Provide expert input working with the test engineer(s) to create DVP&R, execute the defined test plan and review the test results/reports
Provide technical input to technical publications
Collaborate and iterate designs with cross-functional partners such as mechanical, controls, manufacturing engineers, as well as production personnel
Operate in a primary role, proposing solutions to more senior engineers or management for evaluation

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor of Science (BS) in Engineering. Electrical Engineering preferred
Minimum 5 years of progressive engineering experience
Automotive, commercial and/or heavy-duty vehicle design familiarity. Direct experience a plus
Fluent with BOM, documentation control, and revision/version management. Experience with a configure-to-order product and modular BOM management a plus
Demonstrated working knowledge of harness design and formboard drawing creation with fluency in CAD software such as Zuken or Capital
Experience working with major component suppliers, engineering service suppliers, testing suppliers and product validation engineers
Fluent in the direct design of components including Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Service (DFS), and cost-efficiency (Value Engineering)
Highly skilled in “hands-on” troubleshooting, product assembly, prototyping, testing, and validation activities (on site and at remote locations)
Expert knowledge in the operation of various tools such as multimeters, power supplies, CANalyzer, and oscilloscopes
Previous experience with electrical load analysis and management, including power optimization and redundancy planning for low-voltage (12/24V) and high-voltage (600V or higher) systems
Possess hands-on experience with automotive communication protocols such as J1939, CAN, LIN, and Ethernet, including implementing diagnostics and troubleshooting tools for signal integrity across vehicle control modules
Working-level proficiency in wiring harness design and integration tools like AutoCAD Electrical, Zuken / E3, with a proven ability to create manufacturable designs and address routing challenges
Possess a strong understanding of regulatory compliance and standards applicable to heavy-duty vehicle electrical systems, including SAE, NFPA, and ISO standards, as well as environmental and safety-critical requirements

EXPECTED COMPENSATION
$75,000 - $164,000/annual salary + premium benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job classification, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
