Purpose: Responsible for instructing student athletes in the rules and fundamentals of golf; and providing input and assistance to the head coach in determining fundamental philosophy, skills, and techniques. Duties: Assist the head coach in recruiting, practices, and tournament preparation. Recruiting being the primary focus. Maintain current knowledge and abides by NCAA rules, policies, procedures. Demonstrates integrity and upholds the values and mission of the University. Supports the total athletic program. Contributes to team effort by welcoming new and different work requirements; exploring new opportunities to enhance the services of the division; helping others accomplish related job results as and where needed. Qualifications Education: Bachelors - preferred Experience: Either has been a coach previously or played collegiate golf Specialized Training: Proficient in teaching and coaching golf and able to evaluate talent Work Environment, Physical Demands: Standing or sitting in one position for long periods; computer data input; multiple concurrent tasks with constant service interruptions; high level customer contact; strict confidentiality; detailed work; operating camcorder, copier, fax, University vans for team and other transportation as needed.
