Leidos is seeking a Software Developer possessing the ability to design, develop, and implement end-to-end solutions to support our geospatial data production portfolio.
Primary Responsibilities

+ The successful candidate will assist in the design, development, implementation and maintenance of systems, software, custom applications, and data integration solutions with a focus on both desktop and web based geospatial applications.

+ The candidate will interact with staff at all levels of the company from analysts to PhDs.

+ The candidate will work as part of an integrated development team for the creation of complex applications.

+ An understanding of the ESRI ArcGIS/ArcGIS Pro suite of products is a plus.

Basic Qualifications

+ Requires BS degree and 2 4 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.

+ Understanding of GIS software and GIS principals.

+ Experience with Python 2.x/3.x, Microsoft .NET (C#, VB .NET), Web Services, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

The GIS Developer is responsible for the design, development, configuration, unit testing, and deployment of Enterprise GIS applications. The candidate must be proficient in web and/or desktop GIS application development using agile methodologies. The GIS Developer develops, modifies, and tests code that supports spatial intelligence, desktop GIS and web GIS solutions. This position will also provide escalated support for Enterprise GIS products and solutions throughout the organization. The GIS Developer will work closely with business stakeholders, other Enterprise GIS staff members, and/or outside vendor(s) to ensure the Enterprise GIS solution meets business requirements.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBLITIES:

Prepares detailed technical specifications, designs, or user stories from which programs will be written or configured

Writes high quality code according to provided requirements

Addresses system defects and implements enhancements to existing functionality

Troubleshoots issues with minimal guidance, identifies bottlenecks in existing data workflows and provides solutions for a scalable, defect-free application

Participates in the definition of application scope and objectives through research and fact finding

Provides escalated support and resolution of open IT issues escalated by IT Support

Supports production environment

WSP is currently recruiting for a Senior level GIS Developer to join our Enterprise Asset Management and Technology Services team. The position supports process automation, tool development, data management and quality control in an enterprise server environment for large field data collection efforts around the globe.

**Your Impact**

+ Provide Enterprise GIS and Portal administration and management for a multi-server environment

+ Support enterprise GIS data collection and management on multiple projects simultaneously

+ Provide GIS application development services related to data management and customer access to spatial and tabular data.

+ Support development of ArcGIS Portal applications and tools, including development of custom widgets.

+ Familiarity with SDSFIE (Spatial Data Standards for Facilities, Infrastructure, and Environment) data structure to provide compliant deliverables when required

+ Communicate with project team members and other stakeholders to define data needs, project requirements, and desired outputs

+ Compile and refine geographic data from a variety of sources including public domain, field collection, satellite imagery, aerial photographs, and existing maps

+ Perform regular quality control checks of GIS and non-spatial databases to ensure data integrity

+ Manage individual project tasks related to GIS, database design and management, and data visualization

+ Manage integration of GIS information within data management systems such as SharePoint.

+ Customize GIS workflow and software programs for data collection, engineering, and environmental applications

**Who You Are**
