Some places are better than others when it comes to starting a career as a gis internship. The best states for people in this position are Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, and New York. Gis interns make the most in Massachusetts with an average salary of $86,265. Whereas in Maryland and New Jersey, they would average $81,119 and $79,239, respectively.
