The Health Services Dining Team at Givens Estates, a nonprofit continuing care retirement community, is hiring for full-time and part-time Dietary Aide's. Weekend availability is required. This is a meaningful and vital position where you positively impact the lives of our residents, visitors, and fellow team members every day. And NO LATE NIGHTS means you will have more quality time to maintain a balanced life.
What you'll do:
Organize and set up dining areas for service
Keep the dining room clean
Reset the dining room after service
Assist in carryout meals as necessary
Provide excellent meal service to residents and their guests
Handle and operate equipment in the assigned area
Perform any other duties and/or tasks on an as-needed basis requested by an authorized supervisor
Experience is not required. We make this job fun and a team effort when serving our high-quality food to residents and guests. If it's your first job or you're a seasoned pro, we'll happily show you the ropes in a supportive and inclusive environment. Must be at least 16 years old to apply.

· Prepare and serve nutritious meals on schedule to meet dietary needs of our clients.
· Portion food according to standard procedure and dietary requirements of our clients.
· Maintain clean and orderly work area, storerooms, coolers and cafeteria, including sweeping and mopping.
· Consistently follow quality assurance program to meet health, sanitation and licensing requirements.
· Assists with proper storage of foods packaged and cooked.

Required Qualifications:

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Summary:
The Nutrition Consultant is responsible for serving as a consultant to homecare professionals and provides nutritional care to high-risk agency patients.
Qualification Requirements
Bachelor of Science Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in nutrition and diet therapy or two-years of recent dietician experience.
Registration through the American Dietetic Association and current North Carolina licensure required.
Essential Functions

Serves as a consultant to homecare professionals: (a) serves as an educational resource to agency personnel, to include providing nutrition in-services, (b) provides educational tools for patients/family members, (c) assesses the nutritional needs of the patients upon request and per Agency policy, (d) assists in the development and implementation of quality improvement program(s) for nutrition service, (e) consults and teaches patients, family members, and staff special delivery regimens and nutritional requirements as appropriate to diagnosis and individual preference, (f) develops policies and procedures related to nutrition services and nutrition care, and maintains updates as indicated by accreditation standards for nutritional care, (g) educates clients, family members, and caregivers on implementing medical nutrition therapy, including therapeutic diets, and (h) identifies or develops nutrition education materials appropriate to agency's patients.
Documents patient care, prepares and revises clinical and progress notes, identify nutritional problems, intervention plans, and measurable goals with estimated time frames for high-risk patients in the clinical record. Evaluates the effectiveness and outcome of care.
Demonstrates an interest in personal and professional growth: (a) attends and participates in workshops, seminars, mandatory in-services, webcasts, etc. to keep abreast of current changes in rules, regulations, relating to job functions; and satisfies CEU requirements of the State Board of Nursing, and (b) does individual reading and research.
Demonstrates a willingness to be cost effective in the use of agency resources, the monitoring of waste, and the proper and safe use of supplies and equipment.
Adheres to 3HC's Personnel Policy and performs other appropriate duties as assigned by supervisor to promote the successful operations and future growth of 3HC.
