JOB SUMMARY - Director, Customer Service - Dairy Nutrition We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to serve as Director of Dairy Nutrition Customer Service. This role oversees a team of 9 (including 8 direct reports) and is responsible for driving a culture of effectiveness and efficiency across the Customer Service Framework. Digital Transformation * Lead enterprise-level digital initiatives to enhance operating effectiveness and customer experience. * Partner with IT and global teams to implement scalable, customer-focused solutions. Project & Change Management * Lead and support cross-functional projects aligned with strategic priorities. * Drive global customer service integration to establish a standard operating model. Governance & Metrics * Facilitate monthly business reviews with key stakeholders. * Establish and monitor COE KPIs to measure performance and inform decision-making. * Focus on customer experience and actionable business insights. Product Knowledge * Build strong understanding of the Dairy Nutrition product portfolio in partnership with the Product Strategic Management (PSM) team. * Leverage product knowledge to support service excellence. Professional Engagement * Cultivate strong relationships with senior business unit leaders and commercial sales teams across a functional matrix organization. * Ensure alignment and collaboration on strategic initiatives. Education & Skills * Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Food Science, Supply Chain, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. * 10+ years of progressive experience in customer service, supply chain, or operations, with 5+ years in a leadership role. * Experience in CPG or food & beverage ingredients industry is a plus. * Communicate with excellence, in both live and virtual environments (i.e., TEAMS) to gain alignment, strengthen relationships and credibility, and build consensus. Essential Functions Evaluates finished products for quality and acceptability. Performs all necessary analysis as required, and according to the product specification. Communicates product quality issues to Production Supervisors, Production Managers, QC Manager & Supervisor and shipping and customer service staff. Logs all analysis test results and batch information in the I-Series (AS400) & maintains analysis records and documents necessary for documentation compliance. Monitors line equipment for functionality, safety, and cleanliness. Checks metal detectors (CCP), magnets, scales and performs critical control point & GMP audits. Assist in all foreign material & product non-conformance investigations. Performs batch set-up checks, assists in correcting the set ups, and logs discrepancies. Places product on hold as necessary and release when appropriate. Rejects product as necessary and completes rejection forms including root cause and corrective action analysis. Checks allergen clean out effectiveness as needed .Perform Pre - Op audit when necessary (example: equipment down for maintenance). Perform production scale checks and lab equipment calibration based on calibration schedule. Collect micro samples as needed and places micro hold products on hold.     Maintenance Planner The role of the Maintenance Planner is to improve work force productivity and quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning, scheduling, and coordination of maintenance resources, materials, and equipment access using our CMMS program (MPulse). This role reports to the Maintenance Manager. The Maintenance Planner is responsible for working with maintenance and operations personnel to plan, schedule, and track routine and regular preventive maintenance for critical equipment. The Maintenance Planner also works with managers of other departments and with outside resources to deliver long-term planned maintenance results. Key Responsibilities Coordinate maintenance and repair work in buildings and on equipment. Delegate and assign work to maintenance personnel. Respond to calls from production immediately and assign appropriate personnel to handle the call. Responsible for evaluating problematic systems, equipment, and facilities to determine if installation or repair service is needed to be performed. Schedule maintenance personnel so there is no gap in facility coverage. Train and cross train maintenance personnel so that all maintenance personnel can perform various maintenance jobs. Act as a liaison between production, and maintenance to ensure scheduled maintenance downtime is used effectively. Develop strong relationships between all departments and coordinate planned maintenance tasks during normal production periods and specific outages. Incorporate maintenance repair plans into overall production plans and take corrective action as required for unscheduled repairs. Plan and coordinate Preventative Maintenance (PM) activities including spares availability for the PM work. Monitor the implementation of maintenance plans by the maintenance teams and escalate issues as appropriate. Take a leadership role in the deployment of MPulse functionality. Help train new and existing technicians. Build equipment bill of materials (BOM) in MPulse. Utilize MPulse to collect all maintenance metrics to build and improve upon preventative maintenance work and optimize the parts room inventory. Experience Maintenance planning experience in a processing and packaging environment (3 - 5 years minimum) Result-driven, problem-solving mind-set with basic experience of continuous improvement. Ability to manage multiple conflicting demands and to prioritize accordingly. Project management skills. Preferred but not required Competency in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) is an advantage. Experience in working with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is an advantage, preferably MPulse. Demonstrated experience of planning technical activities in a manufacturing facility and the ability to set up an appropriate maintenance plan.     Manages Corporate Engineering Department Capital Projects over the project life cycle from concept to completion - Scope development, cost estimate preparation, and tracking, facility layout & design, equipment specification and procurement. Responsible for Design, construction, installation, and commissioning for assigned projects. This is a fully on-site position. Essential Functions: Responsible for the capital budget by collaborating and developing capital appropriation requests with facility staff for submission to NWF management for approval. Manages capital projects of different scale by leading cross-functional teams with internal and external resources. Develops scope of work, preliminary budgets, detailed cost estimates, equipment specifications, drawings, bid documents, bid tabulations from vendor proposals and schedules for NWF management approval. Oversees the project design and development to ensure that the project delivers all project objectives on time, and within the approved capital budget as effectively and efficiently as possible. Works with equipment vendors to obtain and evaluate competitive proposals for equipment required on projects. Prepares purchase requisitions and approves project-related invoices for payment. Schedules equipment deliveries, services, or trades. Ensures compliance of equipment, construction, and safety standards with governing agencies such as FDA, , BRC, OSHA, EPA, etc. Works cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, R&D, IT, Quality, Sanitation, Health & Safety, Legal, and other departments as required.
