Job Description The Sanding and Robot Operator - 3rd Shift position sets up, operates and maintains multiple robotic sanding cells as trained and instructed to meet or exceed defined production targets. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned) Operates multiple robotic sanding cells with the loading and unloading of helmets to maximize robot time sanding while also ensuring quality. Identify helmet models to be sanded and correctly set the machine fixturing to ensure quality sanding. Load and unload helmets from the fixturing proplerly. Organize and maintain the machine fixturing so that they can be easily found as needed. Operate the computer controls of each cell to select the proper program for the paint color being sanded. Load the robot sanding tool as needed with the proper sand paper grit per the program running. Change the interface pads and backup pads on each cell running as needed to maintain quality sanding. Identify and communicate issues quickly to the GrayMatter Team using the Hot Line and the Team Viewer communication tool. Communicate issues immediately to Team Leader and Supervisor. Observes all safety rules and regulations. Exercises care and good judgment at all times to prevent accidents and injuries. Adheres to all company policies, procedures, rules, and BRG Code of Conduct. Practices good housekeeping by keeping work cells clean and organized. Performs other duties and tasks as assigned. Job Description Knapheide has openings for 2nd and 3rd shift Machine Operators in our Quincy, IL plant. Prefer candidates with some previous experience in the respective job area, factory machine operation, construction, farming, warehousing backgrounds. Successful employees will be self-starters with excellent attendance records and a good attitude. Must be able to work with others and follow direction. Overtime/Saturday work in required several times a month. All candidates will be subject to a pre-employment physical and drug screen.

Smyth is seeking candidates who are mechanically inclined, who have demonstrated skills of break-fix in their work and life environment. Individuals who have a passion to make things work, the ability to problem-solve through situational analysis, by breaking it down and determining route cause, which enables the machine to the operator in the most effective manner. Our Machine Operator's main responsibilities include the operation of either the Laminator or Pouch Machine. The Machine Operator will have overall responsibility for the machines including set-ups, output, and maintenance. Operators must obey all facility and department guidelines and expectations. Other duties and functions may be assigned on an as-needed basis. Shift Available: 2nd Shift, Monday-Friday, 1pm-9pm Compensation is based on skills and experience. Able to manage time effectively on multiple long and short-term projects simultaneously, meeting all related deadlines. Able to understand and help further enhance current business systems, processes, and workflows. Able to endure long periods of standing, which also involves movement in and around the work area and machines required. Able to display high levels of customer service, responding promptly and thoroughly to the inquiries and needs of individuals both internal and external to the organization. Must have good math, reading, writing skills, and have the ability to tactfully communicate to customers and employees of all levels of the company. Good interpersonal, collaboration, and relationship-building skills to effectively work with a diverse group/variety of people and personalities. Work safety and proactively to ensure a safe work environment. Education, Experience, and Credentials: High School degree or equivalent preferred. Prior experience in a converting environment is preferred. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Computer skills and knowledge required. Pre-employment physical testing is required. Good motor skills, dexterity mechanical, and analytical skills are a plus. Flexibility in their work schedule (nights, weekends, OT). Previous experience with Lean Manufacturing and ISO quality systems is preferred.
