About the Position
Glatfelter Insurance Group is seeking an Automated Testing Specialist to join our IT Applications team. This position will identify, analyze, develop, propose and test solutions to business problems. This position will primarily focus on the analysis, development, and execution of automated testing scripts and other quality assurance testing.
This position is required to be onsite at our Leader Heights, York, PA office.
Key Responsibilities
Work with users and IT to gather and organize information regarding a problem, situation or improvement opportunity.
Independently define situation and design system changes to satisfy requirements.
Develop detailed specifications for developmental staff.
Serve as a liaison between IT, end users, and vendors.
Strong technical skillsets, particularly surrounding SQL or HTML.
Analyze system changes to be made, in some instances implement changes, prepare test plans, and conduct tests to determine if desired results have been achieved.
Develop and maintain necessary changes within applicable systems
Oversee the documentation, implementation, monitoring, and enforcement of all processes and procedures for testing.

What We're Looking For
Associate's degree or equivalent experience.
A minimum of 3 years work experience with insurance systems with demonstrated experience working in an insurance environment with proven knowledge of MGA's, brokerage, retail, and/or carrier operations.
In-depth knowledge of computer technologies, including but not limited to integration concepts, logic rules, and data structures.
Demonstrated knowledge of systems analysis techniques.
Proven knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
Proficient in Selenium WebDriver, Java, TestNG, Maven, Jenkins or other like systems.
Proven technical skills in areas like SQL/scripting, HTML/JavaScript.
Proficient in working with version control systems like Git for test automation and continuous integration.
Proven working knowledge with XML and XSLT as well as understanding of programming languages such as Java, Python, and/or C# is preferred.
Must be able to communicate with a wide variety of people at all levels of the organization (internal and external) in a highly effective manner using reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.
Must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and willing-and-able to meet strict deadlines.

About the Position
Glatfelter Insurance Group is seeking an Accident and Sickness Claims Representative who will be responsible for handling emergency service organization claims and specialty benefits from first report to conclusion, with supervision and or direction from the A&S Claims Supervisor or A&S Associate Vice President. Other responsibilities include:
Customer satisfaction; seeks to provide the best claim service available in the marketplace.
Accomplishing claims service and company standards in areas assigned by management.
Setting claim reserves and issuing payments in accordance with assigned financial authority.

Key Responsibilities
Handles and/or monitors registration and coverage verification of claims.
Handles and /or directs the investigation, negotiation and disposition of assigned claims within authority limits.
Demonstrates proficiency in developing targeted questions to obtain specific information during claim interviews.
Independently gathers and verifies information and documentation necessary for claims evaluation.
Settles claims promptly and equitably. Obtains releases as needed. (E) Authorizes and/or issues checks within the limits of financial authority.
Maintain a diary system for assigned open claims to ensure necessary tasks are addressed in a timely manner.
Identifies and reviews potentially serious cases and fraud indicators with A&S Claims Supervisor or A&S Claims Manager.
Handles the assignment of independent vendors and assures efficient use of vendors.
Interprets policy forms and provides opinion on coverage. Considers positions of all interested parties within intent of policy and program.
Issues Reservations of Rights and/or denial letters after approval by A&S Claims Supervisor or A&S Manager.
Informs claimant, insured or attorney of denials and justifies denial when applicable.
Ensures prompt and proper disposition of claims.
Represents GIG through continuous countrywide contact with insured, carriers, agents, claimants, attorneys, vendors, etc.
Performs other duties as required by management.
What We're Looking For
Secondary school diploma or equivalent, college degree, and Associate in Claims designation preferred.
Two (2) years experience handling A&S insurance claims, or appropriate transferable concurrent experience in a related field preferred.
Moderate knowledge of legal process.

Glatfelter Claims Management, a division of Glatfelter Insurance Group, is seeking a Summer Intern who will work closely with our Claims Operations team to support various 2026 claims initiatives. The intern will also work closely with our claims training manager to support various elements of the trainee program. About the Position
Glatfelter Insurance Group is seeking an actuarial professional with industry expertise to assist with pricing Glatfelter business. The Sr. Actuarial Analyst will be responsible for working with actuarial, underwriting, and claims leadership in support of a broad array of ratemaking, reserving, and analytics functions. About the Position
Glatfelter Insurance Group is seeking an Underwriter for our VFIS Underwriting Services Department. Working within a specific delegated underwriting authority, the underwriter independently qualifies and prices new and renewal business consistent with program underwriting guidelines and pricing directives. The underwriter is also responsible for servicing accounts in accordance with service standards.
This position is required to be onsite at our York, PA office.
Key Responsibilities
Completes underwriting qualification and pricing of new business and renewal submissions, using discretion and independent judgment to accept, reject or modify submission proposal.
Requests additional information when needed to qualify submission and communicates acceptance or declination to producer.
Underwriter is responsible for producers and/or account relationship building and is the primary point of contact for producers in his/or her assigned region.
Analyzes and reviews underwriting information including applications, loss notifications, loss runs, inspections, financial reports, websites, supplemental applications, budgets, and audits
Prepares underwriting approach to large renewals and new business.
Handles all business in a proficient, timely manner, and fully adheres to underwriting authority as delegated by GUS management
Demonstrates working knowledge of program forms and endorsements, including various manuscript forms required on more complex accounts and program rating methodology.
Meets all file documentation standards, and passes all audits (both internal and external).
Responsible for accuracy of final policy product and complies with all quality control and state filing requirements
Provides instructions to Underwriting Assistants to rate risk according to company guidelines and current market conditions.
Requests any additional underwriting information required including risk control surveys, insurance to value, driver information and compliance with outstanding recommendations.
Monitors risk control and claims activities.
Reviews and takes appropriate action on any transactions which exceed the written underwriting authority of the Underwriting Assistants.
Refers and suggests action on any unusual exposures to Program Manager for approval.
Refers all accounts exceeding designated authority level to higher level for approval.
Provides support to sales staff. Attends agent meetings, conventions, trade shows, and visits agents as requested.
Maintains OnBase files consistent with standard file procedures
Evaluates and compares competitor's forms and coverages.
What We're Looking For
BA degree in insurance, business or related field preferred. Must attain or be working toward AU, CPCU, ARM designation or comparable higher insurance education.
Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Property & Casualty Underwriter, or 3 years of industry experience as an underwriting assistant, CSR or agent/ agency management.
Must have or attain within three (3) months current property-casualty license for state of residence and other licenses as may be required.
Has proven performance as an underwriter and/or agency management skill.
Must have a working knowledge of all commercial insurance.
Analytical ability is required to exercise underwriting judgment and make decisions.
Organizational skills and ability to handle tasks on a priority basis required to maintain consistent high quality and quantity of work.
Effective negotiation skills.
Good research skills and detail oriented.
Proficient in IT tools, and software applications.

About the Position
Glatfelter Insurance Group is seeking an Underwriting Assistant for our Underwriting Services Department who will assist underwriters by performing technical aspects of the underwriting process, including, but not limited to, policy rating, processing, and policy issuance, and communicating with agents.
This position is required to be onsite at our Leader Heights, York, PA office.
Key Responsibilities
Processes and issues all transactions related to quotes and quote proposals, new business, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations.
Performs quality checks on policies, endorsements, and billing information.
Responsible for producer and/or account relationship building in his/or her assigned region.
Prepares New Business and Renewal Quotes as authorized by the Underwriter.
Solicits renewal applications and requests additional information if needed.
Follows and meets Glatfelter Underwriting service standards.
Meets all file documentation standards and passes all audits (both internal and external).
Refers all accounts exceeding designated authority level to higher level for approval.
Updates customer records in processing system.
Processes BOR change requests from Underwriter.
Invoices polices and endorsements.
Refers coverage inquires to Underwriters to respond.
Selects the proper coverage forms and endorsements for all lines of business, referring to the Underwriter if needed.
Generates specimen policies when requested.
Maintains OnBase files consistent with standard file procedures.
Maintains diary system on outstanding items.
Performs other duties as required by management.
What We're Looking For
Graduation from high school with appropriate course work in English and Math leading to proficiency in verbal and written communications skills.
Minimum one (1) year property-casualty agency or company experience preferred.
Proficient technical knowledge in using software systems required in the performance of their position including OnBase, PD Insurity, and Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to speak and write in a grammatically correct manner to effectively communicate with a wide variety of individuals both internally and externally.
Excellent verbal, and telephone skills.
Ability to process a heavy volume of detailed work requiring considerable concentration using various software systems.
Ability to cope with stressful situations.
Mathematical ability required to perform rating functions including manual rating of accounts.
Analytical ability required to identify and resolve problems and make decisions within specified scope of authority.
Ability to organize and effectively prioritize work to maintain consistent quality and quantity of work.

About the Position
Glatfelter IT - Corporate Applications, a division of Glatfelter Insurance Group, is seeking a Summer Intern to provide general support to the IT/Corporate Applications team in its daily activities. Under supervision, the intern will focus on Business Analyst functions supporting our overall applications team. Through our internship process, Glatfelter continues our proud tradition of community involvement. Our summer interns will be immersed in corporate culture, included in shadowing and networking events, and enriched through career development seminars.
