This permanent, full-time position is located in Rossford, OH. The Mechatronics & Robotics Apprentice (MRA) will learn to combine electronic, mechanical, computer and control skills at the workplace. During on-the-job learning (OJL) you will work with complex high-performance manufacturing systems and will learn to analyze, troubleshoot, and repair systems to maintain process efficiency. The focus of this role is to learn the skills and abilities to ensure safety regulations and policies are adhered to, assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of the automated packaging and distribution equipment, ensure preventative maintenance is conducted on time to a high standard, and provide high levels of equipment availability through continuous improvement.
Amazon MRA apprentices are engaged in the assembly and maintenance of complex machines, plants, and systems in the Reliability & Maintenance Engineering sector or in organizations which purchase and operate such mechatronic systems. Apprentices are paired with journeyworkers to carry out their work at various facilities, including high automation and robotics facilities in connection with service operations. They are expected to work on the basis of technical documents and instructions and carry out their work in compliance with the relevant provisions and safety regulations.
The successful candidate is an effective communicator, works well in a team, and is self-motivated. They should have the ability to work collaboratively and coordinate their activities with upstream and downstream operations partners. In addition to developing your skills, you will be mentored by senior technicians in order to grow in your role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative/predictive maintenance of conveyance equipment using the appropriate job plans, procedures, and manuals.
- Maintain and repair distribution center racking.
- Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.
- Track and store department inventory, including spare parts.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Conduct maintenance and basic troubleshooting of robotics and robotic work cells.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all material handling equipment components.
- Maintain and troubleshoot motors, photo eyes, relays, proximity sensors, solenoids, motor starters, tachs, etc.
- Assist in mentoring junior technicians by providing guidance and directions to help them develop their skill set.
- Assist with basic electronics/Programmable Logic Controllers troubleshooting.

Summary:
The Greenacres Agroecology Department offers a paid, two-year farming apprenticeship program starting in April 2026 and ending in December 2027. The apprenticeship is an education-focused, working position that blends hands-on field work with some classroom time.
While the Agroecology Department includes a collaborative garden, research, land management, and livestock production, the 2026 apprenticeship class will primarily be a garden apprenticeship. Apprentices will work alongside the Greenacres Farm team to assist in all areas of farm production. Applicants should have a strong interest in regenerative agriculture and a willingness to deepen their skills specifically in horticulture and greenhouse management.
In addition to job duties, apprentices must also be comfortable with public speaking at Greenacres events.

Perform work at various heights (up to 90' above a finished floor or grade) from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, cat walks or other areas.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Perform installation, inspection and testing of all types of fire alarm and engineered and pre-engineered suppression systems at the required frequencies in accordance with the requirements and instructions contained in the applicable NFPA codes and standards
Perform programming, testing, final inspections, as-built drawings and customer training for installations. Troubleshoot and perform service and repair of fire alarm and engineered and pre-engineered suppression systems
Record and document all inspections, repairs, discrepancies, and recommendations
Maintain a good positive relationship with the customer and pass on information to the appropriate personnel for follow up, quotes, questions, or concerns

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Overtime may be required, and the number of hours may vary based on work location. May be exposed to all kinds of work environments. Varying work environments from hot to cold temperatures and exposure to dust. Occasionally asked to travel overnight to a customer location. Must be able to successfully lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Frequent lifting and carrying of toolboxes, equipment, parts, tools, equipment, cabling, and/or wiring. Frequent ladder climbing and checking, pulling wire, etc. Walking, stooping, bending, crouching, kneeling, and raising hands overhead. Driving is required and the amount of time driving may vary. Traveling Fuel Technician Trainee
Our Traveling Fuel Technicians help provide services that are designed to maintain our customers' overall fuel site compliance.
Every fuel station runs a dual risk when dispensing their product: unnecessarily giving away fuel to customers, and “shorting” customers fuel-in essence risking fines, penalties and loss of reputation. Our technicians are trained on the job to use tools and technology to accurately read meter calibrations for retail petroleum customers.
What You'll Do:
Perform precision calibration of meters for retail petroleum clients to ensure accurate measurement and compliance with industry standards.
Minor maintenance on fueling systems.
Assistance with equipment setup and site preparation.
Drive a company-owned vehicle (CDL not required).
Must be willing to travel in a multi-state area, in some cases being away from home weeks to months at a time. Extensive travel is required for this role. (Hotels and a generous per diem is provided).
- Competitive Pay: Enjoy a competitive hourly rate of $17.00, with an average of 12-15 hours of overtime per week paid at time and a half (roughly 25.00/ hour)
- Per Diem: $50.00 per day and it goes directly into weekly paycheck, not taxed.
- Advancement Opportunities: Perform well, and you could advance to a foreman role with an hourly wage increase.
Qualifications
Mechanical background, experience with hand tools, and trades or industrial/commercial settings are a plus.
Physical capability: lifting 10-50lbs, kneeling, bending, handling, reaching, and standing.
Independent work ability and effective communication skills.
Basic technology knowledge for documentation.
Must be able to pass a company paid DOT physical & drug screen and possess a clean driving record.
