Job Title: Glazier Apprentice (Glazing/Construction background)
Position Type: Full-time
Brand new location opening in Waco, TX! This is an opportunity to join a nationally recognized residential and small commercial glass company. With over 70 locations in the US & Canada (12 in Texas), we are excited to be opening soon in the Waco area. At the Glass Guru of Waco, we specialize in everything glass. We are constantly looking for highly motivated, customer service-oriented individuals who are looking to grow with the company and drive The Glass Guru brand forward. While Glass industry experience is valued and preferred, we are willing to train the right candidate and would like above all someone with the right mindset and work ethic.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Apprentice (Glazing/Construction) - Growing full-service glass company is seeking an experienced Laborer with entry-level Glazing and/or Construction experience to work on a full-time basis. Main duties will include assisting the Lead Glazier with the installation of insulated glass units, replacement windows, shower enclosures, mirrors, and other residential glass applications. Entry-level Glazing and Construction experience is a plus, we are willing to train the right person. Competitive wages are offered, based on experience. Qualifications & Educational Requirements:
• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• All candidates must pass an initial background check. Valid license to drive, and a clean DMV record.
• Candidates must be physically capable of performing work, in good health, with the ability to lift up to 50-100lbs. unassisted.
• *Will train the right candidate.
Preferred Skills:
• Residential glass replacement including single/double pane window glass, shower enclosures, skylights, etc...
• Residential window/door installation including new construction and retrofit
• Window/door maintenance, weatherization, and repair
• Effective troubleshooting skills
• Excellent verbal/written communications skills
