Entry Level Laborer (Glazing/Construction) Growing full-service glass company is seeking an experienced Laborer with entry level Glazing and/or Construction experience. Main duties will include assisting the Lead Glazier with the installation of insulated glass units, replacement windows, shower enclosures, mirrors, and other residential glass applications. Entry level Glazing and Construction experience is a plus, but will train the right person. Competitive wages offered, based on experience. Qualifications & Educational Requirements:
● HS Diploma or equivalent. ● All candidates must pass an initial background check and drug test. Preferred Skills:

* Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion
* Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field

* Door and glass knowledge

Pay
The hourly pay rate range for this position is $19.00 + benefits. Base pay will vary within the range depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This information is specific to Vandalia and may not be applicable to other locations.

We specialize in all things glass. Glass Doctor of Millersburg offers quick and affordable glass services to business, home, and auto owners. The "Glazier for Light Commercial Install" position removes and installs glass products in small commercial applications and service calls. They will typically service supermarkets, auto dealerships, banks, and similar businesses and will install/replace broken storefront windows, doors and non-automatic closers. Building small storefronts from scratch and servicing damaged will be a big part of their daily responsibilities, however, the position also requires them service broken or fogged residential windows, mirrors, shower doors, bathtub enclosures, and specialty glass applications such as tabletops and display cases.

The pay range for this position is $22.00 to $30.00, depending on your level of experience as a glazier and flat glass installer.
Specific Responsibilities:
* Install commercial glass, mirrors, door and window hardware in replacement and new installations!
* Ensure the efficient use of materials and maintain an adequate stock of vehicles.
* Conduct accurate field measuring and cut flat glass and mirrors according to specified dimensions and patterns.
* Collect payment and/or payment information from customers for work performed.
* Keep company vehicles and equipment properly serviced, clean, and in good working order and condition.
* Complete invoices, daily route sheets, and weekly reports as required.
* Perform other duties as needed which may include cross-training in related positions.
Job Requirements:
* 2 to 5 years' experience in the flat glass industry.
* Ability to measure accurately and use tape measures and levels.
* Physical ability to work with ladders, scaffolding and related equipment required for glass installation.
* Proficiency in navigating tablet-based technology.

Responsibilities
Thoroughly Inspect job materials, ensuring the product(s) are correct for the job and that there are no obvious flaws with product
Load installation vehicle- tools, safety equipment etc., needed for the day
Clean and prepare glass and other products for installation
Assist the traning technician with installing all products and services included in the work order.
Take care of the customer's home/business, ensuring we leave it cleaner than when we found it... use booties, etc...
