Job Duties and Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Manage and verify government hand receipt accounts using Auto Scan Tracking System (ASTS) and the Army's Global Combat Support System (GCSS-A).
Handle property transportation, ensuring safe loading, unloading, and setup with proper equipment checks.
Assess locations, document property details, and manage transactions like additions, corrections, turn ins, barcode re-orders, and property transfers.
Issue and update Sub Hand Receipts.
Work with the Property Book Office to ensure accurate, secure, and timely transactions, resolving any discrepancies.
Conduct full inventories, analyze property management issues, and develop solutions.
Operate government vehicles and equipment, such as forklifts and box trucks.
Maintain compliance with Army regulations and ensure property accountability.
Participate in meetings and take on additional tasks as needed.
Experience/Skills/Education:
Requires High School diploma/GED plus 2 years of general experience
Master's degree will substitute for 6 years of experience
BS/BA degree will substitute for 4 years of experience
Associates degree will substitute for 2 years of experience

Buyer I is responsible for understanding demand and operational requirements and making decisions on purchasing supplies and components, including identifying, vetting, and selecting appropriate vendors, in order to ensure that we have no interruptions to our master production schedule in our low volume/ high mix production environment for the assigned commodity/supplier.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
Operate with a high sense of urgency and takes daily action to meet performance requirements as defined by Management.
Follows all plant safety rules and regulations.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethics codes.
Maintain constant continuity of supply of all purchased components and recovery plans with corrective actions, when necessary, create, release, review, approve purchase orders to ensure orders are delivered according to requirements to support customer expectations.
Review past due purchase orders, expedite deliveries as needed, and communicate timely updates
If unsuccessful in resolving escalate supplier issues to the appropriate commodity manager.
Provide accurate updates on order status as required including part status, quantity confirmation, revision level, quantity ordered, order confirmation date, and parts delivery date as required.
Monitors and maintains appropriate inventory levels of raw materials and other components required by making purchasing decisions. This includes verification of accuracy of on-hand quantity, reconciling Kanban loops, analyzing scheduling and operational plans, analyzing demand flow from sales orders, and/or adjusting releases from new or existing purchase orders
Select appropriate suppliers and vendors to fulfill order requirements, taking account of prioritization of need, prior performance history, pricing, lead time needed, volume of need, complexity of the component needed, future needs with a specific supplier, etc.
Work with cross functional teams to identify upcoming orders and subsequent component requirements, root cause any purchase order/invoicing issues. Must be able to make decisions on and implement solutions with all parties both internally and externally.
Report out materials status daily on any purchasing related issue impacting production and drive corrective action and resolution of purchasing issues.
Track supplier performance and ensure proper accountability for issues, including pursuing appropriate discounts or reductions, renegotiating terms on future orders.
Prepares and issues all necessary reports and/or correspondence.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Support NCR/CAF processes to minimize any impact to the assigned value stream.
Ensure BOM errors are communicated to appropriate personnel.
Participate in the annual physical inventory and assist with your assigned commodity
Attendance at work, including presence at work during regular working hours or another schedule as may be assigned by the department manager, is essential.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
Manages the Technical Publications team in a manner consistent with the goals and objectives of the Environmental Solutions Group (ESG). Sets department objectives, assigns projects and evaluates group(s) work for content and conformity to customer and ESG requirements.
Plans prioritizes, assigns, and monitors publication projects and deadlines.
Evaluates and reports on the performance, effectiveness, and impact of technical publications.
Researches and stays updated on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in technical communication and publications.
Develops and implements strategies that demonstrate forward thinking and innovation for how publications are authored and distributed.
Proficient in various documentation publication tools, software, and platforms to identify the best solution(s) for productivity, cross functional team collaboration and efficiency.
Implements on-going continuous improvement of the various department procedures, controls, flows and systems, and becomes familiar with ESG internal policies and procedures.
Manages the creation and editing of product safety and informational decal drawings and print vendor artwork.
Reviews technical documentation against industry standards to make sure compliance is met or exceeded.
Manages the photographing and documentation of products and product functions with emphasis on the safety, accuracy, and clarity of all published procedures.
Validates written procedures with the assistance of Risk Management, Engineering, Product Management, Product, Launch Teams, Quality, and Technical Services team members.
Accurately and proficiently proofs manuals, decals, service bulletins and other documentation prior to publication.
Networks with various internal ESG teams to identify document support opportunities. Provides employee hour estimates, Project Management, and accountability for projects undertaken by the Technical Publications Department.
Communicates and works effectively with team members and other individuals and groups within and outside of the organization.
Responsible for coordinating the loading and updating of content (product images, photos, pricing, descriptions, features, advertisements, etc.) for eCommerce sites.
Communicates and works effectively with print vendors to ensure manuals and decals are printed and delivered accurately and within production schedules.
Willing to travel up to 25% and maintain a flexible work schedule during critical project periods to achieve results.
Performs other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classifications other than the primary assignment.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Technical Writing, Manufacturing or related field required, or equivalent experience is required.
5-10 plus years related management experience in Technical Publications. Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
Ability to communicate effectively using electronic media and in written and verbal forms.
Able to work as a team leader, highly organized, work well under stress, and handle multiple tasks.
Great interpersonal skills are required.
Competent in the use of standard software applications such as Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Experience with design software such as IsoDraw, AutoCAD and Adobe Illustrator is required. Experience with Creo Parametric is a plus.
Experience with product data management/business management software such as Windchill PDMLink and JD Edwards is a plus.
Experience with authoring and content management software, website design, HTML and CSS is a plus.
Experience using AI generative knowledge base tools applied to website platforms is preferred.
Experience with generating revenue from documentation products is preferred.
Experience with developing manufacturing documentation and associated document management systems is preferred.

Support CRANE's objectives for material cost reduction, supplier quality improvement, supplier lead time reduction, improved reliability of supplier deliveries, and inventory reduction.
* Drive continuous improvement in the supply base. This individual must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and have a desire to work in a hands-on environment supporting the Maintenance, shop floor and operations management. Individual must demonstrate experience working within a Quality Management System (QMS) and have a working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles. Individual will be Single Point of Contact (SPC) and Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Paint process and Blast and Paint equipment for both Heil and Marathon plants.

Assist in developing the annual capital equipment budget for replacing the existing End of Life manufacturing equipment related to surface preparation like Blast and Paint application.
Troubleshoots day to day paint and pretreatment system processing problems, initiates solutions, and follow ups to evaluate effectiveness of changes to ensure practical cleaning, prep, masking, and painting, curing, and paint rework of production material

Identify manufacturing variability issues and work with Product Engineering, Production, and Maintenance to reduce or eliminate variation in manufacturing processes.

Receives and checks parts lists from department supervisors for parts to be welded/assembled daily. Examines parts and measures dimensions for conformance to blueprints specifications using tape measure. Chips or grinds out holes, bubbles, or cracks in parts preparatory to filling with weld. Cleans grease or corrosion from parts, using wire brush or grinder. Camps broken metal parts together with jig/vice and welds pieces using gas-welding process according to type and thickness of metal. Receives parts from Fabrication Department and welds into sub-assemblies. Welds sub-assemblies into final products. Visually inspects parts during welding process to ensure quality. Records and maintains inventory of parts used on lines daily. Completes inspection form on products and submits to Technical Service Department. Manually transports metal parts up to 40 pounds to/from storage area daily. Performs minor maintenance duties on welding equipment. Includes changing tips, gas diffusers, gas lines, rollers, etc. Observes all safety regulations and reports any unsafe working conditions to supervisor. Performs other various duties as may be assigned.
Requirements:
Education: Requires a High School diploma or GED.

Principle Duties (includes, but is not limited to):
* Responsible for continuous improvement deployment within the shop floor; being an innovator of positive change that favorably impacts safety, quality, delivery, cost, and growth profitability, inventory turns, on-time delivery, lead-time, and quality. Effectiveness is measured primarily through Operational Excellence Metrics.
* Manages the activities of the shop floor, under the direction of the Value Stream Manager, and follows established procedures and approved processes.
* Supervises all production operations such as machining, processing, and assembly.
* Help develop employees and work closely with the cell leaders to share resources as required to meet business unit customer commitments and internal performance requirements.
* Analyze problems, account for variances, drive for root cause and implement improved methods and procedures; create, review, and update improvement plans.
* Assure that appropriate equipment is provided, adequately maintained, and safely operated.
* Assure that capacity levels are maintained to match demand in the short term and long term; participate in long-range planning and budget preparation.
* Work closely with engineering, procurement, sales, marketing, finance, and other functional organizations as well as customers and suppliers to drive continuous improvement and sustain the implemented changes that enable meeting or exceeding customer needs.
* Develop key employees; participate in company dialogues regarding employee performance to assure that deserving employees are recognized and that underperforming employees are given the direction required to improve their performance.
* Participate on, lead, and facilitate Kaizen events as required.
* Support Strategy Deployment by participating on and/or leading Top Level Strategic Priorities. Give monthly detailed analysis of performance to target, to improve countermeasures and action plans.
* Supervises the shop floor through production leaders.
Essential Qualifications / Experience:
* B.S. in business, management, equivalent experience in production management, or related field.
* Knowledge of Lean techniques with track record of implementation.
* Demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
* The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
* Ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization and external contacts.
* Solid decision-making skills to advance continuous improvement.
* Have a thorough knowledge of all manufacturing methods, techniques, and related equipment.
* Must be able to interpret drawings, specifications, product construction, and application.
* This position requires that the person be a highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently.
* Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office software.
* Must have strong leadership skills, with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications/Experience

You will be responsible for the design, development, software, and testing of control systems to allow vehicles to collect, store and process refuse as required by the customer. Job duties will be featuring development specific to the refuse industry, writing production quality software, create prototypes to evaluate preliminary designs, expert knowledge of vehicle body operation, ingratiation of components to produce final product. Evaluate designs, overall effectiveness, cost, reliability, and safety. Investigate root causes of failures to maintain quality and recommend improvements.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS INCLUDE:
* Responsible for controls systems design, specification, programming, simulation and testing, and start-up assistance.
* Ability to work cross functionally with mechanical engineering, understanding kinematics of mechanical designs.
* Experience in: Developing PLC logic and Human Machine Interface from concept to operational use with any of the following PLCs: IFM Efector, Allen Bradley, Modicon, GE Fanuc, Siemens, AutomationDirect, Mitsubishi, Omron, Aromat, Toshiba, HMI or SCADA programming and configuration of any of the following software packages Wonderware, Rockwell, Intellution, GE Cimplicity, Ci-Tech, Iconics, Siemens, US Data, etc. or other mobile-equipment controller such as Vasso, HED.
* Experience with: CODESYS, IEC 61131-3, MATLAB Simulink, Model Based Development, CAN Diagnostic Tools, CAN Bus, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, Industrial Ethernet, CANOpen, J1939, PROFIBUS, DeviceNet and/or other RS485 Networks.
* Design controls required to aid in the performance of the primary duty of a refuse collection vehicle.
* Compliance with all applicable government safety and environmental standards as they pertain to motor vehicles or heavy-duty trucks.
* Requires excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to be applied in design, programming, and troubleshooting.
* Requires the ability to simultaneously organize and successfully execute multiple project responsibilities.
* Possess great communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact with all levels of management, clients, and vendors.
* Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and structural problems.
* Act as a technical mentor and coach to less experienced engineers.
* Travel required for this position up to 20 to 30%.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
* Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, equivalent technical degree, or equivalent experience.
* 5 to 7 years related experience in controls and assembly operations.
* Must have ground up development experience with PLC applications.
* Must have testing experience with PLC Application Code.
* Design and development of Control System applications including generating PLC logic or other mobile controller platforms.
* Wiring schematic design capabilities.
* Good electrical and mechanical skills.
