Ever since our founding as Glencoe Municipal Hospital back in 1941, we’ve been committed to providing high-quality health care and senior services to residents of McLeod county and surrounding areas.
In 1941, the town approved a proposal to build a 30-bed hospital, funded by a WPA grant, community donations and bond issues.
1941 Construction began on Glencoe Municipal Hospital.
1960 Glencoe Medical Clinic opened as a cooperative of independent private-practice physicians.
1967 Glencoe Hospital acquired Glenhaven Nursing Home.
1977 Glencoe Medical Clinic, PA, established a physician partnership.
1984 Glencoe Area Health Center was created.
2000 Glencoe Regional Health was formed through the merger of Glencoe Area Health Center and Glencoe Medical Clinic, PA.
2007 Our Lester Prairie clinic moved into a brand-new building in March.
