Position Summary:
The Marketing Specialist will focus on external promotion and paid advertising of GRH patient services and our brand. This individual will build strong internal relationships with our clinical departments to collaboratively build the content and collateral necessary to effectively reach our community and educate our patients. The Marketing Specialist will research, evaluate, and recommend campaign tactics to help us reach organizational goals.
As a Marketing Specialist, this person will be assigned to lead the creation of specific creative deliverables for projects, as developed by project managers, Senior Team, and the Marketing & Communications Director. This person will work seamlessly and cross-functionally with our holistic marketing team on overall GRH Marketing, Communications and Philanthropy.
Education and Experience:
* Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or a closely related field, with 5+ years previous marketing and project management experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential responsibilities and duties of the job.
* Experience in digital marketing, SEO, and social media.
* Experience with Wordpress and other web design tools.
* Experience in data analytics to support a campaign's effectiveness.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
* Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite a plus.
* Experience in creating video content a plus.

The online portion offers flexibility so you can complete the course content when it works for you! The hands-on skills and supervised practical learning are completed right on our campus. This training provides graduates with the education and skills they need to pass the state exam and start a rewarding career as a Registered Nursing Assistant (NAR) with GRH. If you like to learn in an interactive, engaging, and fun environment - this program is for you! The work we do here matters, and as a member of our team, you will make an impact.

Selected applicants will interview with Human Resources and the Nursing Assistant Supervisor. If chosen for the program, the student must commit to become an employee of Glencoe Regional Health upon completion of the program. Once employed, and upon successful completion of the 90-day orientation period requirements, each student is then eligible for a $1500 stipend. This stipend represents time spent completing online learning modules, hands-on skills learning, and practical training. There is no cost to the student to participate in the program, which can be up to a $1,000+ value!

* 28 hours of hands-on skills learning takes place in a specialized training area on our Glencoe Regional Health campus

SUMMARY

About the Department
This Hospital Nursing Department supports the mission, vision and values of Lakewood Health System. We are a 25 bed Critical Access hospital serving Medical, Surgical, and Swing Bed Patients and Families. Our team consists of Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, Health Unit Coordinators and Nursing Assistants. The Hospital team provides a plan of care based on Provider instruction and Nursing Care Planning to meet patient goals providing optimal care for their health and safety to promote quality of life.
Mission for Position
To support and develop future nurses through an immersive 8-week clinical experience that builds hands-on skills, professional confidence, and a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
Duties & Responsibilities
A Summer Nurse Intern assists in providing patient care under the supervision of registered nurses. Their duties include monitoring vital signs, administering medications as able, assisting with medical procedures, and ensuring patient comfort. They also help with maintaining patient records, supporting daily nursing operations, and participating in educational activities to enhance their clinical skills. The role provides hands-on experience in a healthcare setting, helping interns develop both technical and interpersonal skills necessary for their nursing career.
Position Type
8-week long summer internship program.
Commitment to 32-40 hours/week with shifts including days, nights, and/or weekends per unit scheduling policy.
Working every third weekend rotating shifts.
Qualifications
Qualifications
Currently in an accredited bachelor's degree in a nursing program.
Must have completed junior year of nursing program prior to starting the internship.
Be enrolled in a summer internship course at a college or university for the duration of the internship.
Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
Ideal Candidate
Prior experience as a Nursing Assistant or in a health care environment preferred.
Patient-centered approach; prioritizing patient safety, patient needs, and patient care and comfort above all else.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to establish therapeutic rapport with patients and effectively communicate with nursing preceptors, medical staff, and patient family members.
