Ensure vehicle assigned phone is on/charged at all times and emergency supplies are replenished as needed

Follow assigned routes and report issues to immediate supervisor
Inspect vehicle at the end of each shift to ensure no students or belongings are left behind
Report accidents to supervisors and police and complete Accident Reports

Assists in direct therapy service provision by carrying out delegated, selected patient related tasks under the direct supervision of a therapist allowed by state and federal law.
Transports patients/residents to and from therapy department safely and efficiently. Transportation responsibilities include: advancing to the next resident if previous resident is not ready (notifying therapist when returning to department), ensuring that resident's feet are on the foot rests when applicable, ensuring resident is in correct wheelchair by checking name tag on back of wheelchair, ensuring appropriate seat belt or seat alarm is in place, ensuring oxygen tanks have sufficient oxygen and notify nursing and /or therapy when low, transports one resident at a time, and upon completion of therapy session returns resident to unit, nursing station or dining room, if requested. Do not return resident to their rooms unattended unless instructed.
Escorts independently ambulatory residents to the rehabilitation department when requested.
Provides additional physical help for patient transfer and safety needs under the direct supervision of a therapist or therapist assistant. Assistants do not perform clinical tasks reserved for licensed therapists or therapist assistants.
Maintains cleanliness and safety of the rehabilitation department's physical environment and assigned equipment.
Oversees maintenance of equipment in accordance with infection control safety guidelines.
Responsible for maintenance and replenishment of daily needs of clean linen and other commonly used items. Returns used/soiled linens to housekeeping per facility protocol.
Completes assigned clerical duties, such as computer data entry, photocopying, filing, answering the phone, retrieval of therapy related documentation and other paperwork.
Maintains a record of equipment maintenance and cleaning schedule as assigned by the therapist manager/s.
Performs routine inventory and informs the Therapist Manager/s of stock replenishment needs.

They will direct clients appropriately and maintain logs of inquiries and daily schedules, communicate appropriate processes, including providing surrender prevention resources as needed.
As the Client Programs Liaison, you'll be a key part of the work to maximize the ASPCA's public engagement to ensure all visitors to this location will receive prompt attention and exceptional service within the parameters of the organizational guidelines.

Greet clients and their pets using a positive, non-judgmental, client-centered approach so clients feel at-ease about communicating their pet care needs
Provide translation support (English/Spanish) between clients and the ASPCA teams as needed
Utilize knowledge of ASPCA program areas to assist visitors with information and services to provide targeted support
Support clients who walk in without an appointment compassionately and urgently to determine the best course of action. Through asking the client critical questions, determine if their pet's condition is unstable and needs immediate life-saving care. If their pet is in an unstable medical condition, liaise with the hospital to get an immediate medical assessment performed. If their pet is in a stable condition, direct them to get on the phone with our call center. If their pet's condition is not treatable under our medical criteria, offer them alternative resources to continue care.
Support Volunteer and Foster Program recruitment efforts by providing appropriate literature regarding the application process
Assist members of the public who are seeking surrender services by providing relevant intake support including surrender prevention information, and referrals to other shelters as appropriate
Speak knowledgeably and actively seek out opportunities to engage the public in all available ASPCA services, animal welfare philosophies and techniques in responses to client's inquiries
Knowledgeable about the Adoption Center's adoption process
Liaise any NYPD interactions in the lobby, directing them to call appropriate information number or 92nd street forensics contact
Complete and maintain a log of client interactions and inquiries and provide follow up as necessary
Manage monetary and in-kind donations, express the ASPCA's appreciation for general donation inquiries and distribute donation receipt form

Compensation and benefits:
Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of factors, including but not limited to education, training, experience, location, business needs, internal equity, market demands or budgeted amount for the role. The target hiring range is for new hire offers only, and staff compensation may increase beyond the maximum hiring range based on performance over time. The maximum of the hiring range is reserved for candidates with the highest qualifications and relevant experience. The expected hiring salary range for this role is set forth below and may be modified in the future.

It is essential that the AI establishes a group atmosphere conducive to habilitation and art instruction while at the same time accommodating the well-being and safety needs of each student. This position also involves daily record keeping and frequent contact with both family members and residential /day program staff.
The Arts Instructor will be expected to assist program participants with vehicle transference which may include the use of wheel chairs, walkers and other assisted walking devices as needed. The Arts Instructor should have no driving or physical restrictions which might prohibit or interfere with ones ability to provide transportation to program participants as scheduled and/or as needed. The Art Instructor should also be opened to traveling and working at all 3 locations (Albany, Schenectady and Malta).
Requirements
4-year college degree preferred/strong artistic background with proven record of art instruction and production.
