Duties and Responsibilities
As a BPA, you help protect the U.S. by securing borders, stopping illegal activity, and supporting economic stability.
Typical assignments include:
Questioning individuals and inspecting documents and property
Apprehending undocumented individuals or smugglers using covert surveillance and infrared scopes
Tracking and interpreting signs of illegal entry
Performing farm, traffic, building, city, and transport checks
Patrolling using vehicles, horses, boats, ATVs, snowmobiles, or motorcycles
Qualifications
GL-9: One year of specialized experience at the next lower level, including:
Searching detained persons, vehicles, and surroundings
Apprehending or restraining suspects in violation of law
Using firearms, writing reports, serving warrants, and gathering case evidence
GS-11: One year of specialized experience at the next lower grade, including:
Using intelligence to monitor criminal threats and operations
Leading fraud or contraband investigations
Apprehending violators using surveillance and detection tech
There is no education substitution for GL-9 or GS-11 positions.

The shift foreman is responsible for overseeing the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the renewable diesel production facility during their assigned shift. Working as the lead operations representative onsite, the Shift Foreman coordinates daily activities, monitors process conditions, and ensures adherence to safety, environmental, and operational procedures. This role is essential to maintaining continuous plant operation on a 24/7 basis and requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
RESPONSIBILITES:
Communicate guidance on shift from supervision for operations, maintenance of plant equipment, process optimization, and quality management goals.
Demonstrate strong leadership and team development for operators.
Supervise and lead a team of operators during 12-hour shifts on a 24/7 operating schedule.
Ensure all standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and environmental regulations are followed.
Provide direction and support in routine and emergency situations.
Carry out and coordinate nights, weekends and holiday operations activities to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous plant performance.

Working Conditions:
This work can be physically demanding in some situations. Some physical work examples could be but are not limited to:
Intervening in aggressive situation and/or physically demanding responsibilities
Support with lifting individuals to and from wheelchairs
Supporting a person to and from a shower
Using a gait belt in a safe and dignified way
Providing transportation for the people we support is an essential function of the DSP position. ILC requires all DSPs to have a reliable vehicle at every shift.
Education/Experience:
High School diploma or GED
Successfully complete and pass all checks including:
Nebraska Child/Adult Protective Services Central Registry check

What You'll Do:
Review, interpret and implement the Corteva safety, loss prevention, and occupational health programs. We rely on you, our in-house safety professional to follow Corteva's robust programs to ensure that our safety culture is effective, and we are in compliance with all SHE regulations (local, regional, federal).
Develop, support, implement, and perform auditing and record keeping strategies for the location with Risk Management direction.
Determine safety training needs and requirements for the location. Build relationships and rapport with all team members so you know your audience and can lead the training, communication and education efforts, with enthusiasm, energy and believability in what you are training.
You are the first point of contact should a near miss or incident occur at the location. Coordinate effort with site manager to ensure proper reporting, incident investigation and follow-up.
Review and become familiar with Safety, Health & Environmental regulations, as well as related regulations (transportation) to provide knowledgeable consultation to the location. Communicate and transfer knowledge to the location and /or business on a frequent basis in a relatable and effective manner.
Qualifications - External
Education:
High School Diploma/GED AND 3-6 years of on-the job-related safety experience
What Skills You Need:
OSHA 10-hr or 30-hr training certification or have the ability to obtain withing the first six months
Excellent communication skills (written, oral, and interpersonal)
Coaching, leadership, problem solving, & decision-making skills
Willing and able to work both outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, wet, dry, and dusty conditions
Willing and able to work overtime hours including weekend work and holidays required during seasonal peaks
Understanding of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PP)
High attention to detail is needed to maintain awareness of existing and proposed safety codes/regulations and company guidelines plus maintain and analyze appropriate data
What Makes You Stand Out:
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Safety, Occupational Health & Safety, or other similarly related field with 1-3+ years of relevant on-the-job related safety experience
Injury Management Investigation Experience
Ag or Industrial Experience
