About the job

The Red Hat Global Cloud Ecosystem team is looking for an experienced and motivated Global Alliance Executive to join us. In this role, you will be responsible for the global alliance with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud. You will be the main point of contact responsible for managing sales and sales programs that address joint-business customer needs and on the sales relationship with AWS while being responsible for the AWS global alliance and respective success metrics, revenue targets, and delivery plan working with a matrixed global organization.

To succeed as a Global Alliance Executive, you'll need to have a unique balance of business acumen, strategic thinking, and excellent interpersonal skills, and a high level of technical ability and understanding of both Red Hat and AWS Cloud portfolios. In addition, you'll need a well-balanced understanding of the AWS Marketplace and its go-to-market programs and an in-depth understanding of the AWS partner ecosystem, corresponding partner programs, and associated benefits to utilize and scale to increase Red Hat and AWS business growth. Successful applicants must reside in a state where Red Hat is registered to do business.

What you will do

  • Lead the AWS go-to-market alliance, go-to-market vision and strategy, business plans, and fulfillment to deliver joint revenue, achieve revenue growth via delivery of relevant sales programs, and increase Red Hat presence in the AWS cloud market
  • Nurture the business relationships with AWS to enhance our strategic value, maximize joint opportunity, manage joint pipeline efforts, and enhance profitable long-term growth
  • Work with the appropriate technologists and offering manager to build an integrated roadmap and GTM, that enhances platform integration with AWS to elevate service delivery that drives sales.

  • Ensure delivery and operational excellence; build the bridge from long-term partnership strategy to delivery, ensuring the entire organization has direction, information, resources, and support to successfully deliver in the field
  • Define and track objective key results for financial performance, delivery, and operational excellence, and customer and partner satisfaction for the AWS partnership
  • Shape a collaborative, transparent, and entrepreneurial culture, one that embraces coaching, is inclusive, and has a solid focus on belonging, growth, and development of team members ensuring the required scale to be successful

What you will bring

  • 15+ years of post-degree experience in the IT software or high-tech industry, and a proven record of working with hyperscaler partners; a specific record of working with AWS is a plus

  • Broad understanding of the IT landscape across infrastructure, middleware, and cloud, and how it impacts businesses
