Job Description
The Account Manager, Global represents Rockwell Automation's comprehensive product and solution portfolio to a Global Account customer who has made a substantial business commitment. This individual is responsible for global partnership development with Global Account's corporate influence points and can articulate Rockwell Automation's value propositions at an executive customer level. They are accountable for regular communications and extended team leadership enabling worldwide geographic Rockwell Automation sales/support to increase the scope of our product line & services penetration. Facilitates communications between the Global Account and the Rockwell Automation Product Groups/Business Units.Primary responsabilities
Represent all of Rockwell Automation's products & services well (capable breadth), and periodically must augment skills with additional competency to support customer-critical products & services (selective depth) Interact comfortably with the Global Account at senior management & executive levels and convey Rockwell Automation's products & services in a manner that demonstrates tangible economic value, linked to customer business drivers and key performance indicators, and based upon elements of competitive advantage, strategic positioning, shared goals & risks and profitability impact.Effectively promote business growth through indirect management of extended teams, affording a balanced selling effort at multiple customer levels of the Global Account. Must be able to team with, find compromise, and build consensus with Field Sales Management, during the process of leveraging the extended geographic sales team.Develop a trust-based, mutually beneficial relationship with principal customer sponsors of the Global Account. Must mature and formalize Global Account relationship expectations and address all Rockwell Automation products & services with a growth strategy for each that maximizes “customer share” across all global regions.Quickly qualify opportunities in order to efficiently deploy Rockwell Automation resources on high potential activities.Ensure that the Global Account has access to all Rockwell Automation resources by establishing excellent working relationships with the product groups/business units, geographic sales management, international and senior management.Participate in the Global Account's manufacturing, planning, and implementation teams to provide control/information input at an early stage, and via this participation, recommend strategies/tactics to Rockwell Automation that will benefit the Global Account.Identify new growth opportunities in products and services for the mutual benefit of Rockwell Automation and the Global Account.Provide the annual plan for the Global Account in coordination and cooperation with geographic Rockwell Automation sales/support offices world-wide and communicate this plan within Rockwell Automation and to the Global Account, including regular progress throughout the year.Work with the Global Account to expand Rockwell Automation's presence globally, and to deliver consistently across geographic boundaries.Must be willing to travel to personally communicate Global Account relationship objectives to extended teams, and to engage in strategic Global Account growth opportunities directly with remote resources.With Global Account active participation and approval, must periodically define mutually agreeable opportunities to leverage Global Account applications or solutions and communicate/publish these successes as ‘reference stories' for industry/global selling efforts.Must model the capabilities of an ‘Executive Sales Professional' to sales colleagues, and be a mentor when appropriate.Ensures through familiarity with company policies and procedures. Basic Qualifications:

HOW YOU WILL DO IT
Purpose Statement: Creates, manages, and executes the account strategy for a set of assigned customer(s). In this role, the Customer Manager will represent the voice of the customer to the customer team and the voice of Plexus to the external customer.

Key Job Accountabilities:
Create a working account plan which includes strategies/tactics to increase profitable revenue, account penetration and engagement points (including manufacturing, engineering and aftermarket services). Develop innovative and creative solutions that will help further differentiate the Plexus service offering with our customers. Successfully execute plans while engaging the broader Plexus organization, as appropriate, while continually improving customer satisfaction.Ensure Plexus meets or exceeds the expectations of customers. Advocate for customer needs within Plexus and represent Plexus' needs and interests to the customer. Translate the needs and interests into action that meets or exceeds customer satisfaction goals and creates mutual benefit for Plexus. Lead a cross-functional Plexus team that includes engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, costing, financial and legal experts to ensure we continue meeting or exceeding customer expectations and needs.Increase Plexus' revenue and profitability. Establish clearly defined financial objectives for customers. Partner with manufacturing and engineering to proactively manage the customer P&L to ensure we meet/exceed the objectives.Build and develop multi-level relationships, including executive level, with customers and internally. Additional Accountabilities:
Forecasting: Communicate with customers to ensure that the forecasts that are received are timely, are as accurate as possible, and are consistent with the pricing model.Contracts: Lead negotiations with customers for pricing and/or contractual changes and ensure that both Plexus and the customer are compliant with existing manufacturing and engineering contractual agreements.Inventory: Closely monitor obsolete, slow moving, and excess inventory levels and negotiate ways to reduce and/or eliminate these with the customers.Customer Visit Planning: Lead Plexus customer site visit planning and drive the Plexus manufacturing and engineering sites with preparing for these visits in ways consistent with internal guidelines. Ensure that meeting goals are communicated to the appropriate people prior to the meeting.Customer Visit Execution: When present during customer visits must own the agenda and ensure that the meeting is progressing in such a way as to ensure that the meeting's objectives and goals are being met. Following the meeting, must ensure that meeting notes, actions, and next steps are communicated and executed per the expectations set in the meeting.Project Management: Monitor ongoing Plexus led projects and intervene when appropriate to ensure that the customer and Plexus are aligned. Proactively communicate status to internal and external customers as appropriate.Request for Quotes: Lead Plexus's response to Requests for Quotations (RFQ's) from customers by entering the appropriate information into Plexus's quote tracking tool, participating in meetings, and ensuring Plexus' and the customer's actions are closed as expected. Lead and communicate quotation strategy and ensure that all internal teams are aligned with objectives of the RFQ.Promote the Plexus brand through application of Plexus Values and Leadership Competencies.Frequent travel may be required to meet the needs of the business (estimated 50%).Additional duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Qualifications:
A minimum of a Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's level coursework is preferred.Five (5) years of related experience is required; Three (3) or more years of related experience is preferred.
