IN 2019, WE SUPPORTED THE PRISON SERVICE OF MOROCCO TO TRAIN HUNDREDS OF CORRECTIONS OFFICERS IN 18 PRISON FACILITIES ON RIGHTS-BASED MANAGEMENT OF VIOLENT EXTREMIST OFFENDERS. THE PROGRAM WAS SPOTLIGHTED BY THE GLOBAL COUNTERTERRORISM FORUM AS A MODEL OF COOPERATION. IN CAMEROON, OUR LEGAL TEAM BUILT A NETWORK OF 180 JUDGES, ATTORNEYS, TRADITIONAL AUTHORITIES, AND CIVIL ADMINISTRATORS TO ADDRESS GOVERNANCE AND SECURITY CHALLENGES FACING COMMUNITIES MOST IMPACTED BY BOKO HARAM, INCLUDING THROUGH A REVISION OF CAMEROON'S NATIONAL ANTI-TERRORISM LEGISLATION TO ALIGN MORE CLOSELY WITH INTNL. HUMAN RIGHTS STANDARDS.
