Global Procurement Capital Category Manager
works to develop and execute global equipment and services category strategies and individual project procurement plans in support of capital projects and operations. Position collaborates with project teams, technical disciplines, and functional leaders to create sourcing strategies in alignment with business objectives.
Global Procurement Capital Category Manager
Responsibilities:

• Drive procurement category cost structure transformation, continuous improvement, and other key objectives through procurement best practices, such as Supplier Relationship Management (SRM)
• Pursue, qualify, and onboard key suppliers who meet company requirements and lead teams through supplier selection, contract development, and supplier negotiations
• Manage multiple capital procurement categories in support of global businesses
• Demonstrate leadership in client engagement and partnerships with internal stakeholder communities to understand requirements and collaborate on solutions
• Drive the use of traditional and advanced category strategies and sourcing tools to optimize the procurement process and add value
• Engage in dispute resolution and continuous improvement processes and lead negotiations with suppliers when required
• Manage communications with suppliers and serve as a key point of contact for businesses, engineering, and operations on contractual matters

Global Procurement Capital Category Manager
Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related curriculum (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred)
• Personal computer skills and the use of Microsoft Office is required. Advanced experience is preferred
• Capital project experience is preferred
• Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt is preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication as well as strong negotiation, organization, and management abilities
• A team player with the demonstrated ability to lead and communicate across countries, cultures, and languages
• Ability to balance short-term vs. long-term needs, internal vs. supplier needs

Primary Function
Responsible for the management of the procurement processes for the capital category, including acquisition of equipment and services for engineering, construction and project management. This individual will lead and build the effective and efficient execution of procurement and strategic sourcing plans that are aligned with the business objectives both globally and regionally, through a consultative approach with Ingredion's functional teams. This leader will incorporate and promote the use of best practices to develop fit for purpose, robust and results oriented Procurement strategies and technologies to deliver world class results.

Critical Deliverables
Business
Execute strategic sourcing projects of goods and services within the capital procurement category.Partner with Finance to provide accurate cost forecast and monthly budget reporting Provide category expertise to internal business partners and function as primary liaison for capital procurement.Translate procurement strategies into detailed category plans with set of measurable global, regional and local actions and targets.Oversees and collaborates with sourcing associates and local country category managers on the execution of day-to-day strategic sourcing activity Create and execute category plans including trends, forecasts, risks, and opportunities analysis; suppliers identification and selection; change management and implementation; and supplier performance management activities.Conduct procurement supplier selection related activities utilizing procurement and strategic sourcing best practices, and tools including developing and leading negotiation strategy and execution.Develop and lead project management plans, monitor procurement project execution and methodology to ensure expected financial and operational results.Conduct and manages internal spend analyses and external market benchmarking for the capital expenditure and manufacturing categories.

Agility and Innovation
Conduct timely reviews with suppliers to measure performance against contractual standards and performance expectations (SRM knowledge is a plus).Utilize and promote strategic sourcing processes and eSourcing tools, .Provide support to other departments from the Procurement perspective.Knowledge and understanding of purchasing practices, policies, and procedures; in-depth experience in using SAP Ariba as a value creating tool and PowerSteeringDefine, measure, and deploy new category strategies and cost and process optimization opportunities. Develop risk management strategies relating to supplier vulnerability, sourcing options and product/service availability. Ability to develop risk mitigation contractual clauses (e.g. warranties, insurance, indemnification)

Develop strong working relationships with worldwide internal business partners to drive alignment of functional objectives.Responsible for identifying, establishing, maintaining and enhancing relationships with key suppliers for assigned category with focus on quality, cost, deliver, service and risk.Building trusted partnerships to leverage networks within and outside the organization.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Bachelor's degree in business or related field (capital expenditure in Food processing and manufacturing environment experience preferred)5-7 plus years of relevant experience with at least three of those years in a Procurement/Strategic Sourcing role or in a similar capacity with the ability to negotiate and purchase related products.In depth knowledge of TCO and should cost models.Strong oral and written communication skills, be highly organized, and have excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.Affinity with operating in an organization with a globally integrated supply chain.Knowledge of strategic sourcing processes/methods, as well as relevant Information Technology (IT) systems Excellent skills within the Microsoft Office suite Mobilizes to rapidly adapt to changing circumstances without losing momentum Excellent analytical and financial acumen Strong project management skills Ability to effectively lead/influence key stakeholders and motivate a team, partly from a distance.Good presentation skills to achieve (business) acceptance of procurement practices and procedures, metrics, budgeting/forecasting routines and changes International experience is a plus

Global Procurement Senior Manager

Responsibilities

* Develop and implement comprehensive supplier and sourcing strategies for the Global Enterprise Software category (total spend Sr. Manager is accountable for is approximately $100MM) that continually improve quality, cost, and service across all PepsiCo business operations.
* Drive the sourcing process, lead sourcing, support Master Services Agreements, SaaS, Statement of Work development, and analyze/evaluate rates to optimize supplier engagements.
* Track record of successfully sourcing with a variety of suppliers (e.g., HP, SAP, Oracle, IBM, BMC, CA, Symantec, Microsoft, etc.).
* Lead cross-divisional business teams including Global and Divisional IT teams, Legal, and Finance in the successful implementation of strategies, contract negotiations, and project planning.
* Achieve annual productivity targets within the Global Procurement productivity framework.
* Proactively manage the category by tracking spend by vendor; and developing preferred supplier analysis, with a goal of optimizing the number of suppliers while maximizing year over year savings.
* Work with PepsiCo and industry specialists leading RFP, RFQ, RFI, competitive bids, maintenance renewals, and miscellaneous projects.
* Lead sourcing, support Master Services Agreement and Statement of Work development, and analyze/evaluate rates to optimize supplier engagements.
* Drive process efficiencies and eliminate waste.
* Ensure use of PepsiCo's policies as well as terms and conditions to ensure best in class economics and minimized risk.
* Manage supplier performance against key metrics to drive continuous improvement.
* Research and implement industry best practices.
* Encourage use of MWBE suppliers by stakeholders whenever possible; enlist suppliers for second tier spend reporting.
* Success in role can lead to various other positions across the global Procurement function.

Qualifications

* Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business, IT or related field.
* 8-10 years' work experience in Procurement, Finance, or IT, with a history of success in a breadth of prior challenging experiences
* Ideally, experience with procurement of Enterprise software tools (Perpetual licenses, Appliances, SaaS) and IT services.
* Strong collaboration, communication, and influencing skills.
* Strong strategic, analytical, and project management skills.
