We are looking for a Sr Staff Software Engineer to join Global Infra TEAM. The group develops and maintains the backend of Global Infra Platform & Cortex products. You will join a team focused on developing, innovating, and scaling the Global Infra Platform, along with contributing to shared network + compute infrastructures and components. We are looking for candidates with a can-do attitude, who are passionate about complex problems and thrive on bringing value to thousands of customers.
Your Impact
End-to-end backend development of features and core components across their entire life cycle (design, develop, test, deploy, maintain)
Collaborate with peers across different teams and disciplines to shape solutions and integrate with other parts of the product
Work with customers and provide solutions to their day-to-day work and challenges
Contribute to team-wide efforts - code reviews, design reviews, technical and architectural decision
Qualifications
Your Experience
Education: A Bachelor's or Master's (M.S./B.S.) degree in Computer Science or an equivalent technical field.
Experience: 7+ years of professional Software Engineering experience, ideally focusing on the development of scalable server-side applications.
Programming: Strong programming proficiency in one or more of the following: Python, Node.js, or TypeScript.
Database Knowledge: Solid understanding of and experience with relational databases (SQL), MongoDB, and BigQuery.
Collaboration: A demonstrated ability to be a team player with strong communication skills for effective collaboration across cross-functional groups.
Core Technical Experience
Proven experience building and maintaining high-scale server-side applications.
Experience utilizing Cloud Platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Microsoft Azure.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and managing cloud infrastructure.
Experience with REST APIs (design, development, and consumption).
Knowledge of AI/ML pipelines, Data Science principles, and related technologies like Model Context Protocol
Preferred
Prior experience with containerization technologies, specifically Kubernetes and/or Docker.

Compensation Disclosure
The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. Your Experience
DevOps/SRE Experience - 8+ years of experience as a DevOps/SRE engineer with a passion for technology and a strong motivation for high reliability at the service level
Data Platform Experience - Design, deployment and maintenance of SQL DBs (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g. Redis, Cassandra, Hadoop). Experience with Kafka is preferred.
Linux experience - A strong understanding of Linux internals allowing for quick troubleshooting

The Distinguished Engineer will define the long-term direction for the DLP platform architecture.
Define Platform Foundation: Define and drive the DLP platform's "north star," including the scalable control/data planes, APIs, and data pipelines.

Qualifications
Your Experience
12+ years of experience building large-scale distributed systems or SaaS platforms with a minimum of 3+ years operating as a Distinguished or Principal-level Engineer/Architect.
Deep expertise in microservices, streaming systems (Kafka/Pulsar/Kinesis), and stateful architectures (RocksDB, Redis, Cassandra).
Strong grasp of cloud infrastructure (GCP/AWS/Azure), Kubernetes, observability, and SLO management.
Proven experience with high-performance, multi-tenant systems and end-to-end performance optimization.
Background in data privacy, policy engines, or content inspection/DLP systems preferred.
Excellent communicator able to influence across teams and align engineering strategy with business goals.
BS/MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent or equivalent military experience required
