What you will be doing at Globalstar As an Attitude and Orbital Control Subsystem (AOCS) Satellite Engineer, you will ensure the performance and status of on-orbit control systems for current and the next generation of LEO Satellites. Duties/Responsibilities: * Work with a team of engineers to monitor and maintain the Globalstar space asset of multiple generations of satellites * Establish and maintain subject matter expertise in the Globalstar Satellite Attitude and Orbit Control Subsystem * Determine methods for optimizing attitude pointing performance while minimizing satellite safety risk in support of payload mission requirements * Perform trend analysis for aging of onboard satellite Attitude and Orbit Control Subsystem sensors and actuators * Write and maintain satellite operations procedures and scripts * Participate in real time operations for nominal operations, anomaly resolution, and anomaly recovery * Monitor satellite operations in real-time to confirm nominal performance or recommend contingency actions * Develop and maintain tools to streamline satellite and ground operations * Prepare commanding requests for operators in accordance with established operations plan * Oversee the execution of commanding as necessary * Perform all required telemetry monitoring and analysis, both short and long-term, in order to assure satellite safety What you will bring to Globalstar * Bachelor's or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, Aerospace, or a closely related Engineering field * 7+ years of experience with Satellite Attitude and Orbital Control Subsystems * 5+ years of experience with PID controllers, satellite sensors, and actuators * Experience working in an established well-defined process environment * Familiarity with Python and MATLAB It's a bonus if you have: * Master's Electrical, Computer, Aerospace, or a closely related Engineering field * 10+ years of experience with Satellite Attitude and Orbital Control Subsystems Physical Requirements: * Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Marginal Functions: A review of this may have omitted some of the marginal functions of the position that are incidental to the performance of the job duties and responsibilities.
