In 1924, Boyce Thompson Arboretum (BTA) was founded by mining magnate Colonel William Boyce Thompson. The desert landscape inspired Colonel Thompson to create the arboretum with the mission of educating people about desert plants and their uses in an arid environment.
This mission continues today, and Boyce Thompson Arboretum has grown in mission and size over its 100-year history. As an independent non-profit organization, the arboretum is located in Superior, Arizona. Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, manage, and provide strategic direction for a comprehensive organization-wide communications calendar, collaborating with all pertinent staff, including the Development Team
Develop and implement annual marketing plan to increase visitation, program participation, revenue, and overall brand awareness
Conduct audience research, analyze visitor data, and use insights to guide strategy
Partner with the Marketing agency and the Assistant Director to deploy advertising campaigns
Coordinate public relations strategy with PR contractor to maximize reach of arboretum initiatives
Oversee website strategy, content updates, and user experience improvements.
Oversee social media strategy and content creation across all channels
Plan and oversee the execution of social media advertising strategy and budget
Oversee the creation, organization, and use of photo/video assets
Produce newsletters, email campaigns, blogs, and other digital content
Monitor analytics for website, email, and social media and adjust strategies accordingly
Define and report on key performance metrics for marketing and communications initiatives
Promote programs, exhibits, events, and fundraising initiatives
Strengthen partnerships with community organizations, tourism bureaus, educational institutions, and local businesses
Support development communications and donor engagement campaigns
Supervise marketing and communications staff and volunteers
Manage departmental budgets, timelines, and project workflows
Collaborate closely with horticulture, education, visitor center, and development departments
Perform Manager on Duty (MOD) responsibilities

Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree or significant work experience in related fields
4-7+ years of experience in marketing or communications (experience in cultural institutions, nonprofits, or environmental organizations is a plus)
Must have a valid AZ Driver's License or ability to obtain one. Clean driving record required.

Develop, review, and update courses and curriculum collaboratively with faculty and academic administration.
Develop and update informative, standardized syllabus for student guidance.
Develop and administer appropriate tools and measures for assessment of student learning outcomes at the course and program levels. Update course delivery and teaching methods based on evaluation of objectives assessed as needed.
Post and maintain at least five (5) approved office hours per week, per semester at times and days that are beneficial for student engagement.
Each semester during pre-semester planning periods, faculty will complete a weekly schedule of instructional and instructional related activities (IRA), including the five office hours noted above, and submit this schedule to academic administration for review and approval. Instruction times and office hours will be scheduled and followed without deviation except for sickness, emergency, or other appropriately approved absences. The scheduling of IRA may vary and should represent typical and reasonable amounts each week. Post the schedule when approved.
Post a Final Exam Schedule for finals week with at least five (5) office hours over three days.
Serve on College standing committees, ad hoc committees, and/or sponsor clubs or other student organizations. These responsibilities may be voluntary or assigned.
Verify attendance and participation as directed by academic administration. Submit complete and accurate rolls and grades by specified deadlines.
Attend commencement activities, participate fully in Fall and Spring semester convocation and planning activities, perform committee service, and participate in continuing education, in-service training, continuous improvement and/or accreditation activities, as necessary. Absences or requests for release from these activities must be communicated to and approved by appropriate academic leadership.
Faculty, out of necessity, will work a flexible or non-traditional schedule to provide optimal student success opportunities. The primary responsibilities of this position are to provide engineering, project management, and documentation for assigned projects associated with construction activities on tailings facilities and other projects as assigned. Other duties include support for the following: facilities planning, project execution, other engineering projects, document and drawing updates, and document support for other departments.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

This includes quality control and quality assurance technical responsibilities. Responsibilities may also include support for other engineers in department.
Maintain and expand the engineering documentation system. This includes organizing new documents into the system, maintaining proper edit permissions, and supporting the use of all functions within the system. Maintain condition of physical files and document integrity.
Support modification of the existing and new documents to current status via CAD and PDF editors. Support internal and external personnel in searching for documentation. Support standardization efforts of internal and external drawings and documentation.
Document engineering plans via CAD programs and specification documents. Produce documents for competitive bidding process and execution. Conduct project bid meetings with procurement.
