The Senior Estimating & Pricing Analyst will have a significant impact on the company's success, by maintaining a high level of analytical insight into manufacturing, operational expenses, product pricing, and business unit profitability to support Globe's business needs. The Senior Estimating & Pricing Analyst will analyze customer requests for proposal (RFPs) and provide thorough analysis leading to the submission of current, accurate and complete cost and pricing proposal to key customers. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop understanding of product manufacturing, staffing, material acquisition, and operating processes Estimating material and labor costs (manufacturing and engineering) based on Request for Proposal (RFP) data requirements requested by prospective customers Compiling cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with Request for Proposal (RFP) specifications Analyzing specifications, including sketches, blueprints, bills of material, or sample layouts Calculating production costs using labor and material pricing schedules and historical data Collecting cost data from functional representatives and subcontractors Preparing cost reports and presenting results to management and customer representatives Work directly on production floor with technicians to create and refine cost models Supporting risk and opportunity assessment, quantification, and analysis during the proposal process Supporting Pricing & Estimating team initiatives and continuous improvement Participating as a member of the contract negotiating team Understanding the requirements for supplier price/cost analysis Interacting with other functional areas (Supply Chain, Program Management, Engineering, Manufacturing Operations, and Business Development) to develop strategies in support of proposal requirements and deadlines.
