The position of Accounting Clerk duties and responsibilities are under the supervision of the Accounting Manager. The incumbent will perform moderately complex accounting tasks to support accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash management functions.
The successful candidate must have basic accounting knowledge, be a self-starter with natural curiosity, who is willing to learn and grow, possess strong analytical skills, is committed to excellence and high standards, organized, detailed and customer service oriented, can learn new areas quickly, work independently, multi-task, and produce accurate work products.
Job Responsibilities:
Performing accounts receivable or accounts payable accounting functions
Processing payments, verifying, and validating the mathematical accuracy of financial transactions, for completeness
Assigning proper accounting codes to transactions and posting transactions to the appropriate accounts
Assisting with monitoring accounts, identifying discrepancies, and determining corrective action
Skills and Qualifications:
Bilingual in Spanish is preferred
At least 1 to 2 years of experience working on financial and accounting tasks in a fast-paced environment
Analytical skills to be able to identify challenges and recommend solutions
Meticulous attention to details and accuracy
The ability to read and write English
Highly dependable with a strong work ethic
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite specifically with Word and Excel
Excellent Communication skills both orally and in writing
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, ability to manage priorities and workflow
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
The pay range is $16-$17/hour plus $4.41/hour for you to get your own health insurance. The amount of $4.41 turns out to be on average of $800/month. If you already have your own insurance, this would just be an extra pay.
