Job Description
The Goddard School is a renowned program with a Piaget (Learning through Play) based foundation and a leader in the franchised preschool industry which is growing and continues to set the standard for excellence. The focus of the program is to provide a life-long love of learning. Our staff is made of loving and dedicated teachers who understand each child's needs. They are highly qualified childhood educators who are able to use their creativity and the Goddard Developmental Guidelines as the basis for unique lesson plans that are brought to life in a fun and imaginative way. Daily duties include:
Lead Teachers the individual needs of the children
Lead Teachers communicate with parents
Lead Teachers participate in staff and training meetings
Lead Teachers design an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom
Lead Teachers interact with the children to support play, exploration, and learning
Lead Teachers present expectations that are appropriate to the child's age and developmental level
Lead Teachers plan and implement activities that develop self-esteem and social skills
Lead Teachers communicate appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff
Lead Teachers build teamwork
Lead Teachers utilize assessment tools

Job Requirements Lead Teacher Qualifications:
A Bachelors degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education or Child Development or a related field
BA or higher in a related field that includes 18 Credits in Early Childhood Education or Child Development
Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education that includes 18 semester hours of courses directly related to young children birth to age 8
1 year of experience working with children ages 6wks-6yrs of age and ECE Teacher Qualification for the State of Colorado
Curriculum building for ages 6wks-6yrs of age
