DEKA offers Internships and Co-Ops for full time students* (must be at least 18 years of age). Internships last a minimum of 10 weeks, 12 preferred.All summerinternships must start no later than June 15, 2026.
How you will make an impact as an Embedded Software Engineering Intern:
Use software engineering knowledge to solve issues found in embedded and test software
Improve automated testing through investigation and code debugging
Perform verification and validation activities using automated software testing and test fixtures
Support development of software
Learn software processes
Skills we are looking for Embedded Software Engineering Intern:
Must be currently enrolled in aComputer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent degree program
Must have an understanding of, and experience with embedded software and basic computer networking
Must have C++ programming experience
Must be familiar with Linux
Have successfully completed at least one year of programming course(s)
Must be a self-starter eager to contribute in a team environment
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be detail oriented
Experience with OpenVPN, Yocto, Python, Bash, Git, and advanced computer networking is a plus
Involvement with First Robotics is a plus
Interest in personal embedded projects is a plus
